Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Oh, excellent! After I hash out a bit more of the details and whatnot with Lancelot, I'll have him hit her up? He'll first be stopping by in Aprilish.

Sounds good! It will give Anne something to do that isn't too much of a strain so it's perfect.

Thank god, Dorian doesn't want to be responsible for misfortunes with the Dauphin. Are there any particular elements of it you'd be excited to get her in on? the vague plan I have so far goes

-Dorian hangs out with some artists there in March to cheer himself up, makes artist friends
-takes quest April/early May, gets a flat there
-getting the appropriate permissions from whichever elected officials
-finding a place
-setting things up and procuring art
-FABULOUS ART GALLERY PARTY (to which he'd certainly hope she'd come, given her involvement in things!)

When he's seeking permissions from officials, she can help him with that. She's established a good working relationship with them so she can assist with getting permissions, finding places and then helping with the party.

She will! She'll be going to Caer Gleam right around her due date but will return to Parrais with the Dauphin, she won't want to sit around recovering so perhaps by the time the party happens, little Louis can attend as well.

The opening will be in May, so it'll predate the baby's birth hopefully by enough that she can show up! I imagine little Louis will always be welcome to give his gurgling opinion for various shows.

That's perfect. And I'm sure Louis will have lots of opinions on the shows later down the road, Anne will want to expose him to all the art and culture that she can.

Awesome! I was thinking he could first approach her of helping him meet people in April, and then they can start picking out a place to buy in May? (I may have already picked something cough but I think Anne wouldn't disapprove) And if you'd be okay with forward dating a lot of that just so I can get questing done? (ALSO because I'm excited for this.)

Perfect, Anne knows what a kid needs to know!

That would work for me! And Anne would definitely approve of that space, she would gather a work force to make sure it's fit for the artists and all set up for them. And she and her ladies in waiting would roll up their sleeves to get the space ready. Anne could also help him negotiate a price when they buy, she's good at things like that (and she may even be able to pitch it to the citizens in a way to get them to donate the place).

Hella, Anne of Austria hero of the hour. Dorian is going to be completely indebted to her, and no doubt taken with her skills in negotiating these sorts of things. A fab opportunity for him to learn from an expert!

But awesome! I'll have him drop a letter sent to her Parrais address forward dated to April, then?

She'll teach him everything she learned in Spain and France for sure! King Louis definitely didn't appreciate all her skills so having someone who recognizes that will be a refreshing change.

Yes! And she'll write him back quickly.

Dorian may be an overemotional child, but he certainly respects someone with those kinds of abilities. I cannot wait for the threading.

Quick question: does she have a private secretary or someone who picks up her letters, what is their name (can Dorian know it) and would you like to make up an address for this letter to be sent to?

She has a lady in waiting who brings her the letters and I'm sure asking around would give the name of the lady who controls Anne's correspondence. As for a name, lets just go with Ailene.

Then off the letter goes! Dorian would never be so impudent as to address a letter to a monarch personally without their prior invitation to such intimacy.
