Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

this is the wrong journal but i am commenting from work and switching is hard SO! remus is terribly curious about dorian now that he's found out about this whole immortal thing (which makes him totally hypocritical OH WELL), and plus dorian is another one of the people with access to the research room, he'd definitely want to get to know him better if he could! he'll probably be hanging around the white citadel a lot bc he charmed it to hell and back, i don't know whether they could run into each other there...

tl;dr i don't really have a plan other than this cr intrigues me and i would love more somehow and i promise he will only use the professor voice when necessary??? ;;

YES PLEASE! I would love more threads with them. Dorian's going to be around the White Citadel at various points for sure (a Certain Painting is being hosted there just at present) also please don't scold him. UM one possibility is Dorian has an interest in quietly learning how to apply his magic to battle so he isn't, you know, kinda defenceless as far as that goes. So there is that?



also fun fact because Remus: in the future, Dorian ends up buddies with a werewolf who manages to dodge out on his transformation because this werewolf has a painting that does the transformation for him.

HE ONLY SCOLDS WHEN IT'S WARRANTED DON'T WORRY!!! and oooo that is definitely a direction for them to go! remus doesn't (at this poitn anyway) know exactly what the extent of dorian's magic is, other than the fact that he made those rune stones and that he's immortal apparently

and oh mannnnnn don't tell remus that, I DON'T THINK HE'LL GET AS LUCKY, SOB. but if dorian WERE to find out his condition, at some point... >> does that mean that his opinion of him might not change as much as remus would be afraid that it might?

That'd be great! Maybe if Dorian was like "SO WHAT IS MAGIC LIKE IN YOUR WORLD" etc etc and if at any point Remus indicated "I CAN DO THE BATTLE MAGICS" Dorian would leap on the chance. Dorian can easily explain his magic in that context. .......well not how the immortality works, but the rest of it.

POOR REMUS but yes, Dorian would be pretty chill with it! He lacks the context to go WEREWOLVES ARE TERRIBLE and his portrait makes it impossible for him to catch lycanthropy anyway.

haha well it shouldn't be too hard to get the whole battle magic part out of him, i mean he's pretty open about having been a professor and that his skills lay in "defense against the dark arts", which did include dueling yes :')

weeps werewolves are terrible though dorian they're horrible murderous creatures and if they don't kill you then they turn you into one of them and remus has so much disgust and dislike for his own condition it's awful. it's all hidden down deep but it's so bad.

do you have any idea of what time you would like this to be? :')a remus' schedule is pretty wide open still

It occurs to me that Dorian has seen some of it for himself, in a thread we're currently doing, so that'll be fabulous!

But he can't be killed or turned, come on, Remus. MAYBE YOU'RE HORRIBLE HE DOESN'T KNOW but not horrible to him.

Some time in spring 2701, maybe? Dorian will be hopping mainly between Parrais and the White Citadel throughout, so! Given that Dorian has seen him in battle, he might actually contact him in March after the dust settles like
