Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Wan will be interacting with Waver in the winter when Wan's in the south, so I'll ask about arranging for him to hear about it through the grapevine that way.

As for what Wan will have accomplished before he gets to her area, I'm hoping that I'll be able to get him a sort of minor-folkhero status among the more disenfranchised non-court people. Someone who aids anyone that needs it regardless of their status or court affiliation and also stands up for those who are being oppressed. A sort restart of the Avatar mythos of his own world, where the Avatar doesn't belong to any one nation or court and whose purpose is to bring 'balance' to the world. In the Drabwurld, this easily tied to a Neutral Win option. To this end, he'll be aiding in disspelling the anti-shardbearer sentiment throughout the whole of his travels (and I've signed him up for a quest to that effect already for february). He'll also become a Friend of Red Jenny once Sera meets up with him and explains how it works, because that's all about helping the 'little' people. I'm hoping to get him involved in investigating and hopefully solving the forest golem problems in August, which should draw more attention to him. He'll also pretty much be giving away most of the money he earns through odd jobs and refusing payment outside of a warm meal for what good deeds he does, so that has the potential to go a long way for establishing a very selfless reputation. And finally, because he'll be looking to speak with as many people as he can to learn about the world and the cultures, I'm hoping for him to gain allies among most of the nymph sisterhoods, especially the Pyrii and Sylphs.

If none of this draws her attention enough for her to recruit him, that's fine. He's not looking to actively build political influence among those in charge and I know that will cost him in terms of getting more influential allies and contacts. But maybe it could be enough to put him on her radar for testing the waters post-timeskip?
