Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

General overview of recent events: Pod participated in the White Hart Hunt, served as an ambassador between Glaschu wolves and Unseelie werewolf Peter Hale, got named "friend of all woodland animals", then made as much healing concoctions as she could for the battle. Following that, tried and failed to stop the Jabberwhelp in Caer Glaem and then retired to Cothromach to heal.

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?: Pod has befriended Castle, Kaldur, Faramir, Kelsi and Ryan so far, and met many more people. She doesn't have any enemies, yet.
What notable events has my character been a part of?: She was heavily involved in helping people escape from Caer Glaem! People who have contact with animals around Glaschu might have heard about her helping the wolves.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: The white hair is natural. She's a Beast Healer, and very intelligent.
What information is limited to specific CR?: that she's a bastard-child. That Kiga killed a man to save her. That the Master assigned to teach her died basically in her arms.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: She's happy to discuss her magic and her world with people! She'll be a little shy about revealing she knows a Dragonlord from her world personally, but most things that aren't really limited, are fair game if the convo turns that way.

Things. All the things. If Pod has reason to come to Treun, Castle would love for her to come stay with him. Or he's also willing to help her out with some of the things on her list.

Actually! Pod might have reason to come to Treun fairly soon (I've put in for a Feb Quest that would take her to Treun, and she'd probably ask for Castle's advice/help. And it would require upkeep of her visiting fairly often!)

And she would be grateful to have a friendly place to stay whenever she's there, and would love his input on her various self-appointed tasks.

Yay! She needs someone to remind her to look after herself sometimes, haha! And her quest was accepted, so how do you feel about her calling him maybe late Feb and asking for advice on how to get "contacts" who are willing to give her info on Treun? And probably also a ride, because she still doesn't have fast travel

He should probably check on her to make sure the Jabberwhelp didn't eat 'em, too.

Yes, yes please!

Perhaps Draco could be convinced to help Pod go places to try to heal the animals who were hurt by the Jabberwhelp?

And she'd probably check up on him fairly often, because dragon!

If she can come up with a comfortable way for him to lug her around, certainly! He wouldn't be a hard sell on helping her get out to help others.

Also, also, since she's a vet-like person, I always thought it'd be funny if she ever figured out he's a dragon with an actual heart condition, although how, I would not know. If you'd be interested in knowing stuff like that, that is.

Pod honestly wouldn't mind being straight carried all that much (Kiga, on the other hand) as she's been flown that way before, and I don't think Linden is too much larger than Draco is. But! She came up with a way to cart Kiga around via Cleg during the evacuation, that might work, sized-up, that is if Draco doesn't mind grabbing and holding onto things for a flight.

And Pod has picked up a little diagnostic spell via one of her boons. IDK how it would come to pass that she'd use it on him, but it'd probably pick up on something off! And then Pod would fret and worry and ask if he needs Healing.

Poor Kiga, fuzzy grump in the air. Something to carry her in would be acceptable to him, too, since humans carry stuff by hand all the time, so, clearly an upgrade from common riding beast. :U Maybe a sling or something?

And I'm sure there's a thousand reasons to use a diagnostic spell on him at some point. If nothing else, he's old, he'll complain about the cold and his poor bones sooner or later.

She did something like that for Kiga, yes. Maybe a sturdy bit of netting with a blanket tied over it for more comfort? They could nail together a few sturdy pieces of wood to make a handle for easy grabbing on to!

And Pod will happily check him over and then gasp and fret. Excellent.

Probably better for him just to grip the net outright, since that might still slip off anything it's nailed to. Maybe some kind of sturdy ship net.

Do you have an open log for running around and healing critters up yet, too, or shall I keep an eye out for that one?

I'd love to run into Pod during the winter of the timeskip while she's searching for the white hart and his shrines, assuming she's still doing so that far into the year. Wan's got a thing for animals and spirits and he'd be down for paying respects to the hart, even if he doesn't get to meet him. I think it could be a good basis for future CR if you're up for it?

She will be! If not searching for existing shrines, she might be looking for suitable places to make one of her own for the Hart! Any help on that front would be most welcome, and Pod would love to meet Wan and hear his stories.

Wan will be traveling through western Leana/Seelie lands in December before Yule/The Hunt and then through southern Leana/Seelie Lands in early January before hitting the Hidden Falls around the second or third week of January. Would you prefer to have the encounter before or after Yule?

Either would work! Pod might get a chance to actually meet the White Hart around Yule, so I suppose it depends on what kind of interaction you're looking for? Pod will mostly be around Treun, Cothromach, the Hidden Falls, and Caer Glaem during the whole skip. She might range slightly further afield but not too far.

I think I'd prefer before the hunt, myself. So Wan can learn more about the Hart through interaction. So maybe in the area south of the falls/between the falls and Treun? Just about two weeks or so before Yule? It's not far afield of where she'll be in general and still allow plenty of time to travel wherever she'll be going for Yule.

Treun is excellent! Pod will be visiting there fairly often, and it's one of the biggest places for Hart worship, if I understood the mod answer to my question correctly. They could meet while Pod is visiting one of the larger shrines, perhaps, as that could easily turn conversation to the Hart and she could tell Wan what she knows (he'd also get an earful about Kerras, which is her Stag God from her homeworld).

If Muscovy keeps bringing Pod herbs etc, will there be a recompense? It could be something like teaching him some healing magic or passing on some of what she's learned about talking with animals, or something else - I'd like for them to meet more but he's not going to work for free when he could get something in return elsewhere.

She would try to find ways to thank him in more concrete ways, yes! She's very low on actual money, but she might offer him the skins she's been amassing, or something, and if he had a request for something in return, she'd do her best to fulfill it.

She might not think of offering to teach him healing magic, though, because in her world, it's very much a "you're born blessed by the gods with it or... you aren't" thing. But! she would happily show him how to mix the various salves and ointments and things she makes and how to wash, bandage wounds. And if he brings it up, and it proves possible, she'll happily teach him the magical side too!

He'll accept the skins as payment, he can sell them elsewhere for good money or trade them in.

And excellent. Ffff he'll turn into a little healer at this rate, Aragorn is teaching him about herbs and healing too, so he'll learn different traditions - maybe they can have swap these kinds of knowledge a bit too?

About the magic - Muscovy has shown some magic capabilities, but we haven't seen him perform anything himself (unless my brain's borking, I'm tired so that might well be a thing). He has been summoned by other characters when they tried to access spirits/demons and is bonded to a personification of a specific type of winter :|9 so I really don't know how much potential he has. He does have a shard, though, so there's something to work with...

Great. She'll probably offer them based on the rarity of the herb and how much he finds. And she'd love to swap knowledge! She was going to with another character that sadly dropped.

I honestly have no idea what isn't and isn't possible with characters learning magic. I might have to ask the mods about it, but if it is possible, she'll happily teach.

=D very nice. Does she know Aragorn? If not, Muscovy could maybe introduce them, too.

If you end up asking the mods, I would be super grateful if you could tell me about their answer.

She's talked with him once (would have done it more, but sadly I keep being really late to his posts) and she's close to Faramir, so she's heard more than a little about him and would be honored to get to know him more!

I will make sure to pass one what I learn, should I learn anything!
