Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

HELLO, HELLO. lancelot's player pointed me in your direction because natasha's going to be doing a lot of daonna investigating, particularly because she'll probably befriend lancelot at some stage at the tourney to basically dig up details about what happened. what do you say to some cr? either there or in daonna, possibly, after the hangings?

NOT JUST FOR METAPLOT REASONS, but they could be interesting. spies? one having died that natasha would find super interesting? yes? no?

YES HELLO I WAS GOING TO GO LOOKING FOR YOU lancelot's player mentioned mentioning faolan to you to me as well, work has just been pretty crazy the last few days and this is the worst time for that sob. BUT I AM HAPPY YOU FOUND ME!

the tourney is a good option, perhaps after she's spoken to lancelot, OR there's daonna... which could be interesting on the other hand because faolan's going to be there on a spy mission for lancelot basically, and will have been to at least the informant he needed to speak to in treun, if not the one in doanna as well, SO HE'LL HAVE THE INSIDE INFO

SO YES NOT JUST FOR METAPLOT REASONS but man the pair of them knowing each other would be super interesting for me too. also maglor just turned faolan on to the native network of spies so there's a chance he might know something about them as well WHO CAN SAY.

I VOTE FOR TOURNEY, if only because natasha is teaming up with two OTHER assassins (jason todd and connor from the assassins creed games) to explore daonna when the maskmaker rears his ugly head. figuratively. and they're not going to be too successful, for metaplot reasons and generally bad shardbearer sentiment, but they're going to learn SOME stuff. wow, that was a vague sentence. and if they meet before that at the tourney, natasha could run the information she learns by him later, because that's going to be part of what's difficult for them! trying to figure out what's tied to the cult and what isn't.

the point being, the tourney after she's spoken to lancelot works perfectly for me! especially because lancelot (hopefully, if the conversation goes okay i.e. TURN THE FLIRT UP TO ONE HUNDRED.) will be a little forthcoming about the whole thing with reynard.

on a more personal level, though, i think she'd be way more interested in what giving up his shard entails, how it happened, that kind of thing. like some sneaky spy personal route heart-to-heart. i don't know how the native network of spies actually WORKS, but if you want to have him sort of KNOW OF HER -- if you want to go the antagonistic route, i mean -- that's okay too? though, like, i don't know if her notoriety would be high enough. /o\

OOO YES GOOD A REASON TO TALK TO HIM LATER AS WELL i like this! and yeah lancelot will probably be a lot more forthcoming with information (most of it anyway) than faolan will be just because of....the nature of who lancelot is vs the nature of who faolan is hahaha

and yes omg he wouldn't actually have all that much of an issue talking about what happened, how it happened, having a spy heart-to-heart. i mean he used to be unseelie and he's not really seelie now he's just. shardless and sworn to a man in the seelie court such that he cannot act against them? IT'S COMPLICATED its why i joke that his court is actually lancelot haha

i think... he might not know of her, just for the sake of ease, considering when she showed up in the drabwurld and how much he's had going on lately haha. she's free to know of him though, i mean he's a public-ish figure, being "the seelie marshall's hound" - most people probably don't know what he looks like but they know of him, especially after lancelot's whole announcement of his death thing haha oops
