Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Yes! Basically how long do you think it would take for Dorian to figure out his curses? Because I'm down for anything. Will he need to have Berserker around at all for it to be put into effect? I guess that doesn't matter much in the end because Jekyll would meet him any time - although if Hyde knew the reason he wouldn't allow it of course. Probably hard to get at in May other than May Day with Lizzie, but then he's in Treun in June for the tournament, or whenever else, basically. I'm updating his timeline if that helps at all, but not many specific dates, so.

AND I JUST REALLY LIKE THE LACK OF PLEASURE ONE because that's definitely what would get to him most. Power too, but even that isn't nearly so bad as pleasure. A way for Jekyll to better control him would also be good, Jekyll would love that, while it lasts...

OH YEAH ALSO Jekyll should buy a compass off Dorian that would be useful. And also during this courtship do you think he'll be told about/invited to theatre/art things because he's absolutely there if he is.

How about Dorian gives it to him in June? That gives him three months to develop the technique. And it absolutely ruins the tournament for him.

THE LACK OF PLEASURE ONE IS HILARIOUS THAT IT IS WHAT HE HATES THE MOST. The better control one could only happen if we work out a way to do it, but it would be what he pulls off after Hyde breaks the first one.

Yes that is a good idea, DROP A LINE ON HERMIONE'S POST, I WOULD RECOMMEND! And during his courtship (god) he could be told about the Gallery and the Coth theatre, but I don't think he can go there? Seelie territories, I think. He could go to the Redgate one but that would be like 'oh hey I heard about this theatre'
because yeah he isn't trusting Jekyll with knowing about the Redgate theatre. Sorry, but your other personality is trash. (UNLESS HE MIGHT, GIVEN TIME. HARD TO TELL. BUT AT THE MOMENT: still can't trust Jekyll ): )

That sounds good! He'll be fighting and like WHY AM I BORED WHAT'S THIS even the idea of random anonymous sex will just get sighs :( what happened. horrible. Another question is how long should this last... I guess it would be good if he could enjoy things for Samhain, but that certainly gives a big window of opportunity (I'm not at all opposed to it lasting that entire time)

I think better control could work if Dorian's able to find a way to like...put a sort of seal into effect? Like, something along the lines of warding magic maybe. Especially if it was something that's 'warding against evil' or something along those lines. He could give Jekyll a rune that as long as he has it acts as a ward or whatever. idk something like that. And then I guess it would eventually be broken either by someone who cares about talking to Hyde or in a random enemy encounter, if that were the case.

SORRY BUT YOUR OTHER PERSONALITY IS TRASH story of his life. He'll probably be asking for a way to hide his shard as a boon later, so, possibly, then. but we'll see. But look Dorian, Hyde would totally help you out with this despite trying to make his life miserable. He ain't gonna tell.

Poor, poor man. No happiness. How atrocious. I GUESS IT LASTS UNTIL 1) he figures it out and 2) he finds out how to break it. Dorian would kick it off probably by fingerwriting a rune on Jekyll's back during a hug or something, so it's nothing Hyde could erase himself. He ...no, he'll tell Hyde what he's doing. Later. He'll wait for him to be miserable and then tell him. Because he's an asshole. And then the way to break it would probably be to break the thing he is transferring the pleasure to? which...would have to be something living.

Hyde is going to be making a poison ivy in the White Citadel very happy.
So he'll have to trace back its source and then get someone Seelie-side to destroy it for him, maybe?

And hmm, the sealing would potentially work. Dorian's going to be experimenting with tattoo wards, so maybe he'll tattoo something onto Jekyll? Then Hyde'll really have to work to get it off??? IT SEEMS FUNNY TO ME.

Okay that'd be hilarious, yes, send a Seelie after it. AND OF COURSE HE HAS TO TELL HYDE. He needs to let him know that revengeance is his.

How about the second one's in November, then, so he can kill some inmates and have a bit of fun and then be cursed again. And then yeah, Jekyll wouldn't ask anyone to fix it but maybe Lucifer would be annoyed by it because it also means he won't be able to use his NP so either Lucy can cut it out or random Seelie fight...

He'll probably just like Dorian all the more after all this, as much as he'll be pissed off about it. he can respect revengeance.

That sounds fabulous to me!! I am happy with both prospects. And since Dorian'll be sort of solidifying his knowledge of tattooing runes in September, it'l give him time to finetune this one.
