Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Wonderful. Pod definitely wants to make it happen! And she's willing to work very hard to see it through, but she knows she'll need a lot of help. She'll definitely contact Hermione sometime (I think the rest of Feb for her will be recovering and then rushing off to the aid of the animals and then quest, so she might not remember until, maybe March) and be all 'look at what I found out!'

Excellent. Hopefully she'll have some actual cash to pay with, by then. Though she could always offer to go herb hunting! (Actually, would Hermione be interested in mandrake? not the HP sort, alas, but Pod has some from her homeworld and no idea what to actually do with it) And her having a way to communicate quickly over distance will be very helpful!

That sounds perfect. c: We can thread that out and Hermione will continue to offer her support to Pod as much as she can!

Hermione would 100% trade for that! Mandrake's are important for potions in her world and I'm sure she can try to figure out a way to use them here, too!!

Excellent. And Pod will happily give her the mandrake! It's used in some more advanced medicines in her world, apparently, but nothing she would personally need, so she's like "um... this should be used but who would know?" and since Hermione makes so many potions, Pod will probably ask if she needs it at some point.

Actually, Pod might ask about the King's Blood she has. It's a very rare magical plant in her world (if it has a real life counterpart, I haven't found it, alas, but it's used to cure all kinds of very dangerous respiratory infections), and maybe even offer some for Hermione's garden? Idk if it could even grow in a garden, given how incredibly picky it is about growing anywhere at all, but Pod would think along the lines of 'what could it hurt?'

She's going to be doing a lot of magical research over the timeskip, so this would play right into that and she would love it! She'll be researching Cullen's lyrium, so anything Pod would give her would be added to her research so she could see how to use it c: Hermione will try and grow whatever she can as best she can!

Great! Then Pod will give her some seeds and samples of the plant. Considering how useful it is in her world, Pod would be really hopefully of finding a way to grow more of it.

The plants can probably come up when Pod checks in! I'm hoping to get a lot of timeskip starters done up tomorrow so hopefully I'll have a link ready for you soon, and we can go from there!
