The First Enchanter was a wonderful man. I'm not sure how I would've gotten along in the Circle those first few months without his patience and guidance.

But I guess even he could only be pushed so far. Perhaps one day all mages will be forced into extreme measures. He never condoned blood magic, but I guess he saw no other way. I don't blame him.
