The Timeskip Check-In Meme

With the game entering the second half of the timeskip, so many characters are getting involved in a lot of different things and changing in so many ways, not to mention changing things in the Drabwurld. But with so much activity, it's hard to know what's really going on and who's doing what. This meme is designed to not only to update the playerbase of what your character is up to, but also plot out anything you'd like to accomplish and thread out during the second half.

Character's current location: Primary residence is Parrais; he moves between Redgate, Cothromach, and the Citadel

Businesses/titles your character has:
→ Master of Revels and Shield of the Cothromach, owner of the Allweather theatre
→ owner of the Mayfair Gallery
→ anonymously Champion of Redgate and owner of the Rook theatre
→ joint-owner with Hermione Granger of Artefacta, a business selling lockets, potions, and protective runes
→ secret leader of the Ansuz Crime Ring, stationed in Redgate and looking to expand

What has your character accomplished during the timeskip so far? So far, Dorian has, under his own name, established the Mayfair Gallery and the Allweather Theatre. He has overtly put his support into developing and protecting Parrais and the Cothromach. He has also started Artefacta with Hermione.

Under false names or disguises, he built the Rook theatre, in part to have a rad Shakespearean theatre, but also to function as the start for his development in crime. The Ansuz Crime Ring has stolen both from people who are involved in anti-Shardbearer violence (with the information passed on to Waver Velvet) and people Saralegui doesn't like. (Look, if you're going to rob people in a man's own city...)

What are they doing for the second half so far? I ACTUALLY HAVE ALMOST NOTHING CONCRETE! It's terrible. edit: although he is probably attending that Redgate University!!

What would you like to accomplish for them during the second half of the timeskip? I've been hoping to have him expand his artistic ventures to start building things in other cities. Similarly, post-February, he will likely be expanding his criminal efforts, establishing groups in different cities under the same model of having a secure team and a dedicated proxy. HE WILL ALSO START COMMITTING CRIMES IN PERSON just for the fun of it.

Is there any specific kind of CR you're seeking during the timeskip? I would love to drag more PCs into both the artistic ventures (managing theatres and galleries, performing at possible music halls, etc etc) and the criminal ventures (helping to break locks, infiltrate buildings, launder money, be Dorian's committed team leader for a specific location). Obviously, this can lead to conflict, so I'm excited for that also!

→ people to be left in charge of crime rings in particular cities
→ people to run theatres, galleries, possibly music halls etc (depends on how/where he expands) or other ~*~beautiful~*~ legitimate businesses
→ artists, playwrights, actors, etc whom he can employ in the various businesses etc!
→ people who will be willing to run legitimate businesses by day and do other things by night
→ information-gatherers/spies, to probably be given art-related cover stories (think of who you're dealing with)
→ PEOPLE WHO DO NOT APPROVE OF CRIME and anyone who might wish to get in the way of this

→ pals!
→ enemies!
→ people who can turn Jaded Immortal Antihero post-update Dorian back into a shmoopy brat and confuse him about it


Anything else? Dorian also has a quest board related to the areas he runs, which is both available for quests (WELCOME TO APRIL) and also might give an idea of ways to get involved in things, as I did design some of those quests to be a good start to establishing in particular locations!

Criminal activities. Well. She used to be a bandit. Depending just what sort of thing he might want assistance with, to what end.

Ohoh! Well, his endgame is ultimately 'good' in that he'd like to third-option out of the wars entirely and he plans on leveraging this kind of power to help towards that. But individual cases tend to be more morally grey. Gotta consolidate power to have the power to do things etc. Where does Snow tend to hang about?

A no fighting option which would theoretically be more diplomatic/neutral of sorts? She'd be up for that. Snow knows about the 'means to an end' or for survival in general. She's resorted to things she'd never had anticipated in the face of both of those. She's mostly either around the Station, Cothromach or Caer Glaem. But she can get around easily enough with her ceffyl dwr.

I can keep an eye out for possibilities to call on something like that! At the very least, it may be nice to start building up the CR to see if we can move towards it. (With the canon-update, Dorian basically has to re-establish all his CR. New kid etc.)

Of course! I remember seeing mentions of his update so I'm happy to try work with you on that. I'm pretty open if you wanted to work to it and start them up with this and the magic training. I've not got much of anything really planned for her this second half anyway so I'm flexible.

As I mentioned in other comment, magic-training should probably be done set before update, and then after that we could pick up something post-update, depending on what works? My schedule for the second half is pretty open until April at the moment, so!

Sure! That would work for me. I know magic training might need to be backdated but I'm open with the second half of timeskip for whenever we want to do the thing.
