TEST DRIVE MEME #7

TEST DRIVE MEME
Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here! OPTIONAL SCENARIOS 01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD. The Seelie and Unseelie courts welcome you not with mirthful revelry, this time around dear friends. There is a seriousness in the air, though the food is still hearty and the imps still mischievous. After you have been briefed on your purpose here, you will find an endless feast and a night filled with entertainment to placate your concerns. Mingle with new arrivals, sneak down the castle halls and make sure your eyes are always on your glass; fairies and imps have no bias when it comes to tricks! 02. THE STATION. Looking for a little slice of home? The Station gives you all that and more. Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms! 03. WILDCARD. Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld or simply take advantage of your Locket! Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy. |

[Diarmuid looks up from his kneeling position, noticing the crowd of people who mill around them. While it might be known to many how Gilgamesh's power was limited, there are also many new people here and Diarmuid is not comfortable speaking of such things in detail when there are so many around.]
Would you care to walk with me for a while? There are so beautiful gardens I should show you and I can answer all the questions you would like to ask.
[It is an open invitation for Enkidu to ask all that might be on his mind about this place, about Diarmuid himself, and about Gilgamesh, for he suspects that some of the changes that have come over the golden king will be very surprising. Diarmuid still can't believe them all himself...]

[he agrees immediately; why shouldn't he? Diarmuid has been pleasant enough so far, and if he is sworn to Gilgamesh, he must be a trustworthy person. doubt or suspicion isn't something that even crosses Enkidu's mind at the moment, as foolish as some people might think that to be. it is true that there's more than a good dose of naivety that colors his actions, but he's never really had reason to be wary of people.]

It is part of what has bound him so closely to Gilgamesh's side. He has seen the true face of the king and he believes in his best. Whatever must be done to make sure that golden spark he has seen is not lost to the threatening madness is what Diarmuid will do.]
It is an honor for me to do, actually. Besides, it will give us a quiet place to talk. Even if these people all fight on the same side as we do, I would prefer some things not talked about where other ears can hear.
[Diarmuid gives him a smile and then begins to lead the way outside.]

Do you not trust them?
[he speaks again once they are safely out of earshot (or about as far Enkidu figures most people could easily eavesrop). it's the only real reason he can think of for the relative secrecy, though he doesn't entirely understand it. even though he lived most of his natural life with a king, court intrigue was never something he paid much attention to.]

I wish that I could trust them all. When I arrived, I wanted nothing more than to work with these people to find a way to draw this war to an end as quickly as possible with as little bloodshed as possible. Unfortunately, the Monarchs do not always give us the whole truth and our fellows do not always do that either. Too often they think just of their own gain and are more than willing to sacrifice the innocent for that. I cannot abide by such a thing. It goes against my beliefs as a knight.
