Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms! 03. Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy.

[Xion makes a startled noise and takes half a step back before Diarmuid reassures her. She's curious, yes, but a large creature bounding towards her up until now has usually had bad implications - usually involving her needing to defend herself. At his words though, she settles back down onto her feet

She may be young, but she's no clueless toddler. The hand that slowly reaches out for Carroll is tentative, cautious, until fingers meet fur. Then a smile slowly spreads across her face as she scratches, delight growing.

She's a bit too distracted to respond, unfortunately, although her first meeting with Carroll is going well.]

[Diarmuid doesn't seem to mind that she doesn't answer him. Instead, he lets her have all the time she wants. When she is finishes, she will find that Oscar and Aengus have finished playing for a moment and both are sitting in the grass watching her.

They both may or may not have the looks of animals wondering when it will be their turn for some attention as well.

Sorry, Xion. He probably should have warned you that petting one means petting them all...]

[Xion may not exactly recognize those looks, having never really seen them before. However, now she's starting to take the initiative, glancing back over at Diarmuid questioningly. She has no objection with petting them all, though she's not really sure if she can? Or if she should.

She hesitates for a moment before putting words to the look.]

Can I?

[Still rubbing Carrol with one hand as she asks. She won't have hands enough for all three but she'll figure it out. She thinks.]

If you don't, they will probably insist on it.

[Diarmuid laughs and then calls Carroll back to him. The bandersnatch is a little unwilling to give up her new friend, but eventually toddles back over to Diarmuid to flop in his lap, leaving Xion free to devote one hand to each of the other animals.]

I am afraid I've spoiled them all to a degree. You will have to forgive me.

[His apology is met with the simplest - or perhaps not - of questions.]

Why?

[Xion has no problems at all with the different animals vying for attention. Quite the opposite. If she thought she could feel delight, she'd almost say she was delighted by it all. Though there is one brief moment of disappointment as Carroll wanders away.

As it is, the smile is still well in place on her face as she reaches out to the other two.]

[Diarmuid is confused by her question for a moment and then smiles.]

Well, some people are bothered when animals are too insistent about getting attention. I know my wife was that way.

[She never did like him having the dogs or the bandersnatch cubs in the bed with him.]
