TEST DRIVE MEME #7

TEST DRIVE MEME
Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here! OPTIONAL SCENARIOS 01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD. The Seelie and Unseelie courts welcome you not with mirthful revelry, this time around dear friends. There is a seriousness in the air, though the food is still hearty and the imps still mischievous. After you have been briefed on your purpose here, you will find an endless feast and a night filled with entertainment to placate your concerns. Mingle with new arrivals, sneak down the castle halls and make sure your eyes are always on your glass; fairies and imps have no bias when it comes to tricks! 02. THE STATION. Looking for a little slice of home? The Station gives you all that and more. Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms! 03. WILDCARD. Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld or simply take advantage of your Locket! Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy. |

she steps closer, tilting her head. ) You okay, kid?
( he's taller than she is, but somehow he still reads as a kid to her. )

She hit harder than I expected.

( it reminds her of Tinker Bell, but Tink ended up a lot nicer than the faeries around here. Emma doesn't offer a hand to shake but offers a strained smile instead. )
Emma. You from around here?

They were dancing in the dim evening. I followed, thinking they were fireflies, until I got close enough to hear them singing.
[He gives a nod, a greeting of his own.]
I'm Cole.

( it reminded her of the Enchanted Forest more than anything. though they weren't the same the resemblance was striking. which only made her feel more out of her element. she'd never had a place in the forest and she had never acclimated to it particularly well. )
Nice to meet you.

You wandered away, too.

Wasn't feeling the festivities. What about you?

( she thinks he means the people that are trapped here, and she gets the same feeling of helplessness, but she's trying to ignore that frustrating voice that tends to make everyone's problems her problems. )

[Of course... this is a castle, full of people who are going to need comfort. And there's an idea there, at least, for the small ways he can start to make a difference.]

( Emma has nothing against helping people... though she might warn him not to get burned out trying to save everyone, ever. she knows for a fact that's pretty exhausting... not that it stops her. )

( she knows it's hard sometimes, because it makes her skin crawl to see people that need help and not be there to help them. she just doesn't want to see him push too far. )

( especially around here, where everyone needs a way home. )

[Though the air is still, there's a sound like a short gust of wind, and he vanishes before her eyes.
He will not make her forget him. If her mind chooses to ignore the possibility of the disappearing boy who talks to fairies, let it do so. Then again, she might remember. Stranger things have happened.]

Well, goodbye to you too.
( he didn't even say his name... huh. maybe she'll see him again, but at the very least, he seems to have a sense of direction. that's more than most of the people newly stranded can say. )
