Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms! 03. Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy.

"That is something. Planet hopper, huh?" Just a little interest in his voice, though it was said in the same tone as one might say 'Oh, just got back from Disneyworld?' "Got it in one. Fresh off the boat."

"I've been all across the universe in my time," he said, "And I was the same as you a few months ago now. Not an easy transition. Especially if you come from a place that more like this and less like...out there."

Magical fairy land did hold certain appealing opportunities, but god he missed modern conveniences.

"Had your share of struggles then." The Corinthian shrugs. He's certainly had his own rough patches, but honestly things are looking up! Here's a place with modern conveniences and some eye candy (ha ha). Definitely, things were looking up. "What do you miss the most then — the travel? Or some other kind of luxury?"

"The power, I suppose," he said, not even bothering to seem humble or like less of a power-hungry tyrant, "I was an Entitled, a sovereign of the universe. Anything I wanted was at my disposal, essentially. Here...I'm afraid previous status doesn't matter much. All the more reason to stop the void once and for all."

That brings a chuckle out of him. "From the top to the bottom." Entitled sounded more like the kind of label you might put on a small child with no sense of decorum, fancy as the word was. "Having a hard time climbing back up to where you think you belong?"

Void schmoid, whatever. He wasn't particularly interested in that.

"Oh, no. The fact is I cannot conquer entire planets when I am stuck on one - but I think I've done quite well for myself so far, given the circumstances," he said.

"Ha!" He gives a short bark of laughter. "That would be mighty inconvenient." Things got more interesting by the minute.

"So, what do you do in your free time then, with no planets to conquer."

"Oh, plenty. Time passes by quite fast at my age, so it's hard to get bored, especially with the war and all," he said, "But I've also been placed in charge of one of the spires and the town surrounding it."

"At your age, is it?" He had figured, there had to be a catch. The Corinthian adjusts his glasses, somewhat amused. Too old, too old, always too old it seemed. "Like some kind of nobleman, with a town and spire. That's pretty fancy."

"Fifty-thousand years old, give or take few decades," he said, "And what can I say? I like to live large."

Usually at the expense of everyone else.

"Can't find any fault in that," the Corinthian agrees. Living large, especially at the expense of others, is really the best way to get the most for your proverbial dollar. "You look good for fifty-thousand."
