[ Elena cocks an eyebrow, clearly having expected her victim to forgive her. She doesn't take particularly kindly to being treated like an annoyance; empathy may be one of her strongest traits, but it doesn't make her a doormat. Still, she's certain everyone must be a little on edge here if they're supposed to be fighting a war, so she lets this one slide. ]

Just— a little disoriented, that's all? Like I said, sorry. It won't happen again, hopefully.

Hopefully, [ Ange repeated, then shrugged, yielding slightly. Even for a fussy person like herself, being more than momentarily irritated over something this small too much. ]

Whatever. It is depressing enough to be disorienting.

[ The sad part is that this doesn't even rank in the top 10 for Elena's most depressing moments. All things considered, this is one of her less awful experiences. ]

I take it you weren't exactly planning on coming to Imp-Land, either. Were you in the middle of anything important?

I was opening the cafe for the day. [ It came out confidently, clearly indicating that she thought it was important -- but as soon as the sentence was out of her mouth, she grimaced a little, knowing that it didn't sound important. But that sort of thing was the reason they'd done all the important fighting, and done all the important fighting the right way, in the first place: so they could have unimportant-sounding things like Cafe Ange. ]
