TEST DRIVE MEME #8

TEST DRIVE MEME

Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here!

OPTIONAL SCENARIOS

01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD.
The Seelie and Unseelie courts welcome you not with mirthful revelry, this time around dear friends. There is a seriousness in the air, though the food is still hearty and the imps still mischievous. After you have been briefed on your purpose here, you will find an endless feast and a night filled with entertainment to placate your concerns. Mingle with new arrivals, sneak down the castle halls and make sure your eyes are always on your glass; fairies and imps have no bias when it comes to tricks!

02. THE STATION.
Looking for a little slice of home? The Station gives you all that and more. Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms!

03. WILDCARD.
Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld or simply take advantage of your Locket! Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy.

He takes another swallow of wine before turning himself to face her more fully. Shaking his head, the mountainous man rubs his chin in thought. Definitely the look of a warrior, and that cold and icy demeanor...

"I am bothered by it, though I've learned not to voice my complaints where the Monarch might overhear them," Hercules replies in a gentle tone. "There's little to be gained by it at any rate. You are here, and that means that for the time being that means accepting thing as they are, for change comes as slowly here as it does on lofty Olympus."

He offers her a significant look, his eyes trailing towards the dais where the Queen would sit.

Sipping her wine, Angela considers his words briefly before she answers them.

"I do not know your Olympus, thought from your words it sounds significant." Her lips twitch toward a smile, but it makes her expression no friendlier.

"I suppose I take your meaning, though."

"Olympus? The home of the Olympian gods?" He smiles somewhat vaguely in reply. A world without an Earth? Or was she an alien?

"May I ask your name?"

The names mean little to her, but Heven was isolated for so long, that has hardly been a rare occurrence. And she's had more than enough "gods" without looking outside of her own family.

"I am Angela. Of neither Heven nor Asgard."

So much for gods.

...Huh. That's interesting, and it prompts Hercules to sit up straighter, and raise an eyebrow. Asgard, huh?

"You speak as though you know Asgard, though. How is it that you know Odin's folk, but not the children of Zeus?"

She almost laughs at the question, because it's almost funny. She can hardly imagine not knowing of Asgard. Though exactly what she knows has proven questionable these days. When she speaks, it is with a wry edge.

"Take no offense. I was raised on stories of Asgardian treachery. Of the war between Heven and Asgard. From my earliest memories, there were stories of Odin's deceptions, Heimdall's voyeurism and Volstagg's unnatural appetites." She pauses, sizing him up again. "If we do not remember the children of Zeus, it is no poor reflection on them."

"That would explain much then, if you were from another realm. Though tell me your opinions on the Asgardians now? Have they changed?" He has to ask, having enough sense to not just spout out how close he is to the Aesir. He's fond of all of them, having traveled the Nine Realms and fought beside them on countless occasions.

And an enemy of Asgard would be an enemy of Olympus, in his mind.

Her answer is curt, frustration not entirely contained behind her expression: "Many things are not as we were taught."
theincredibleherc: (Easygoing)

"I suppose not," he answers before holding out his hand. "And I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Hercules, Son of Zeus, Prince of Olympus. A different pantheon's god of Heroism and Strength. And certainly no voyeur...or very good at deceptions of any sort."

withoutprice: (Victoria's Secret Angels.)

"No," she agrees evenly. "You do not seem the type."

She looks at his hand but does not reach to accept it, instead shifting in her seat with veiled awkwardness. She's never been good with unexpected touching.

"And your relationship with Asgard, Song of Zeus?"
theincredibleherc: (Happy)

If she doesn't take it, she doesn't, and he lowers it.

"Thor is my boon companion. One of my closest friends."

The two of them do seem to be of a type. She is surprised how easily she can picture their friendship, considering how poorly she knows her brother.

She responds somewhat grudgingly, unsure of her feelings and uninterested in sharing them directly, but still drawn to comment. "You are fortunate in your friends, in that case."
theincredibleherc: (Are you stupid?)

[personal profile] theincredibleherc 2015-07-11 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Aye, I would say so." Herc nods, and a little unsure of what else to say, he laughs. Such a dour woman...

"Have you been to Asgard yet? Or...Midgard?"
withoutprice: (Guardian Angels.)

[personal profile] withoutprice 2015-07-11 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
She is, unfortunately, reserved at the best of times. And in a poor mood now. Still, there are things left unsettled between her and Thor, and Hercules has offered her no insult.

"I have seen Midgard, yes. Asgard... That is an invitation I have not yet accepted."
