She is surprised to see him. She wonders why she would be.

"I seem to find family under the strangest situations," she says, not taking the can. "I am not interested in handouts."

"Stick around long enough and there won't be much that you find strange anymore." The children of Odin always managed to get themselves into some trouble, none of which was ever considered "not strange," but the "not strange" thing didn't really happen in Asgard, or the particular corner of the multiverse inwhich they hailed.

There's a slight shrug as she turns down his offer, and he moves to flip the tab on the can himself. "Speaking of which, just how many imp casualties were had during your most violent capture, sis?"

She doesn't answer immediately, her expression shuttered and silent long enough that it becomes something of an answer in itself.

Finally, she says, "No capture, though had there been I assure you a slaughter would have followed after."

So, this would be Angela's first apocalypse. She had missed all the juicy circular "bad ends" and their subsequent reincarnations after the fact, locked away in some uncovered corner of the Nine Realms. She hadn't fallen victim to them the first time around beneath the wing of the Angels.

"That would certainly be an experience." He puts the can to his lips and his green eyes watch her from beneath the rim. "What do you plan to do now?"

"Now?" The most honest answer would be look for someone or something that she can fight.

She considers giving it.

But really, that should be obvious.

"I suppose now I look for someone who will understand my value when the time comes to pay for it."

"What would your value be?"

What possible value could she put on her time, her effort? Being under another hand wasn't something that he could fathom, not now, and not ever. Loki didn't usually share many traits with a prior self, or he didn't like to think that he did, this was one that he shared with himself in his memories.

"That has lately become more complicated."

A state for which she would not consider him blameless.

"But my time is not cheap, nor given for ideologies. Nothing for nothing, trickster-brother."
