[Levi stabs downward. Not quite into a finger, but just shy of one on his plate. No manners is no bueno, Zero. He's not having it.]

Run that by me again and I'll run you through. You don't get special privileges on account of being uppity.

[ She doesn't even need to look down at where he stabbed, as soon as the fork makes its downward motion she reaches for it, aiming to grab high on the handle. In the same motion she surges forward, closer to him. ]

Hah?! Run me through? Big mouth for a piece of shit.

[Levi holds his ground. So to speak. His chair wobbles a little and he grits his teeth, but otherwise he makes no moves against her. Just clings to his fork like it's his last lifeline, because his fork, his food, his space, dammit. This world can't take everything from him.]

Funny, 'cause all I seem to be looking at is a big piece of shit.

[At least he's got one hand free to flick her off. Priorities.]

[ Some people would call Zero an animal and they would be wrong, but to say sometimes she behaved beastly would be right on the mark. As soon as he flicks her off she snaps at his finger with her mouth. Yeah, she's trying to bite his damn finger off. ]

[She's fast, but Levi's reflexes are faster. He whips his hand away just before the sharper end of a tooth can spell an untimely end to that finger, backing away onto his feet. Unfortunately, this means abandoning his plate of food, but if it meant teaching her a lesson...]

[ Actually, she can't tell exactly how short he is — estimation hasn't ever been her strong suit. But, if he's going to call her a little girl then he's going to get the treatment right back. ]
