Whatever magic he's doing - or perhaps it's a sign, like what witchers do? - is enough to get her attention, impressed. She shoots him a look and a brief roll of her eyes, but it doesn't disguise the smirk still there. Fighting like this, against monsters and enemies she's been trained to kill... This is the life she wants. What could be better?

(Well, it could be better if Geralt was with her.)

They have tough hides. I didn't bring enough to pierce it as easily as I'd like.

[ Not quite the same as the creatures from her world. Eyes on the creature, she dips into her bag for some oil to slather on her blade. ]

[He glances at the blade, already liking this plan. He can Ironpull when she attacks and drive it deeper. For once, he does wish he had a metal blade. Glass daggers and coins will have to do. He reaches into his pouch with a scarred hand and takes a handful of coins.]

[He nods both agreeing to the plan and that he's ready] I'll annoy it and give you an opening. You might feel a tug on your blade, don't worry, it'll be me. [He burns Iron and gives light tug on her blade so she knows what it feels like.]

[When they're ready, he takes off, tossing a hand full of coins in the air. The coins pause for a second mid-air then shoot at the cockatrice. Other than throwing the coins, Kelsier makes no gestures or visible indication he's driving the coins. He doubts he can penetrate its hide with the coins but he is certain it'll be very, very annoying.]
