TEST DRIVE MEME #8

TEST DRIVE MEME
Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here! OPTIONAL SCENARIOS 01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD. The Seelie and Unseelie courts welcome you not with mirthful revelry, this time around dear friends. There is a seriousness in the air, though the food is still hearty and the imps still mischievous. After you have been briefed on your purpose here, you will find an endless feast and a night filled with entertainment to placate your concerns. Mingle with new arrivals, sneak down the castle halls and make sure your eyes are always on your glass; fairies and imps have no bias when it comes to tricks! 02. THE STATION. Looking for a little slice of home? The Station gives you all that and more. Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms! 03. WILDCARD. Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld or simply take advantage of your Locket! Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy. |
Re: Feast!
She wonders what she means. Has she never seen a laguz before, or is just the fact that she's a Heron? One would be more understandable than the other. It's not like there are many Herons left.
Leanne's surprised, but she isn't really put off - she's glad that she asked directly! It's easier than dancing around her confusion.]
My name is Leanne! [Though she does take the chance to pretend she said 'who are you.'] I am the fourth princess of the Serenes Herons. [She flutters her wings a little at the word 'Heron.' Heron = wings.]
Does that answer your question? I can explain more, if you like! [Leanne doesn't mind talking about herself. Or her brothers, for that matter!]
no subject
I don't care if you're a princess or a shopgirl. Why do you have those wings?
[ There's not fear or prejudice, there; Ange is buddies with dragon-ladies. But there's definitely surprise and confusion in Ange's voice, and clearly evident in the way she spreads her hands wide and and questioning. ]
no subject
I told you! I'm a Heron. [She flutters her wings again. For emphasis.]
I might as well ask you why you have hands, or ask a Cat why he has a tail. It's just something the Goddess wanted us to have, isn't it?
no subject
[ That was Salako's explanation, anyway. "Modified our bodies to stabilize dracunium" -- no smirking shut-in god involved, thankfully. ]
no subject
It's not good to call yourself something like that, beorc. [But, that's besides the point.]
I'm not the same race as you. Laguz and beorc are two different things. For me, wings are normal. My father has them, my brothers have them... the Ravens and Hawks have wings too! [Not as pretty, though.]
no subject
"I just am, and so's my family" isn't a reason for why you have things.
no subject
[And then her half pout, half frown turns into a smile. Leanne's figured it out!]
I am beginning to think you are just being stubborn! Do you like doing that?
