TEST DRIVE MEME #8

TEST DRIVE MEME

Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here!

OPTIONAL SCENARIOS

01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD.
The Seelie and Unseelie courts welcome you not with mirthful revelry, this time around dear friends. There is a seriousness in the air, though the food is still hearty and the imps still mischievous. After you have been briefed on your purpose here, you will find an endless feast and a night filled with entertainment to placate your concerns. Mingle with new arrivals, sneak down the castle halls and make sure your eyes are always on your glass; fairies and imps have no bias when it comes to tricks!

02. THE STATION.
Looking for a little slice of home? The Station gives you all that and more. Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms!

03. WILDCARD.
Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld or simply take advantage of your Locket! Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy.

[ That just makes Dick laugh, tossing his head back as he does. ]

Romantic comedies in real life, huh? Two of my friends just got together, though I think all of us knew it was happening before they did. Happened last time with two other people on my team too...

[ He shrugs. ]

I'm in the same boat as you, though. I'm Dick, by the way.

[Bobby would say something about how nice it is to find someone who gets it, but then Dick says his name and it's like a hot bucket of water is just splashed on him because he looks like he's startled and also forcing himself from saying the obvious joke.

And it's there. The joke is right there.]

... So, people make fun of your name a lot, huh? [he tries to ask in a casual tone, but it looks like he's about to crack up.

Sorry, Dick.]

Basically any you can think of, I've heard it.

[ He grins, good-natured. ]

Go on, get it out of your system. And you get a prize if you can come up with one I haven't heard before.

I keep trying to think of a good hot dog joke, but I think I'm missing the condiments. [Bobby flashes Dick a huge grin.]

Get it? Condiments? Dick ... wiener ... oh, of course you get it. [After all, Dick seems like a sharp guy!]

I get it, I get it. [ He returns the grin just as widely. ] Though you get kudos for the most subtle hot dog joke I've heard.

The most subtle? And I never do subtle. Hey, do you think you can get me a certificate with those kudos printed out on it? My friends could definitely use it. They might be able to believe in me ... a little more.

Subtlety not your strong suit, huh. I would if I could, but the only place with a printer here is at the Station and I don't have access to a laptop with Photoshop on it. What if I just wrote something like "Kudos for Most Subtle Hot Dog Joke" [ airquotes included. ] on a piece of paper?

Let's definitely go with the writing! If you sign it, they'll definitely believe it doesn't come from me. [That, or Jean will read his mind to see that he persuaded Dick to give him the certificate.

That totally counts.]

Yeah, sure, why not. You got a pen on you?

[ He props his chin up on one hand, grinning. ]

Do you carry a pen on you a lot? Because I sure don't. [Sorry, Dick.]

I carry a cell-phone that doesn't work on me. Guess we're outta luck! It'll all be on you and your storytelling skills.
