After you have been briefed on your purpose here, you will find an endless feast and a night filled with entertainment to placate your concerns. Mingle with new arrivals, sneak down the castle halls and make sure your eyes are always on your glass; fairies and imps have no bias when it comes to tricks! 02. THE STATION. Looking for a little slice of home? The Station gives you all that and more. Take advantage of the wifi, have a cup of fairy-brewed coffee (the one they didn't spit in) or sit back and relax on the patio. You can even move your things into one of the available rooms! 03. WILDCARD. Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld or simply take advantage of your Locket! Be mindful, though -- the monarchs are watching and cross court communication should be done with the utmost secrecy.

[Oh...oh. Right. Why...was that not his first thought. Why did he immediately jump to cannibal, come on, Hamada.]

My blood's not that young either. [Though now that he knows that, he'll be treading a little more carefully.] But if it helps, you're not the first vampire to show up among the shardbearers.

[mircalla]

Please. You can't be older than thirteen.

[ Right? But Carmilla loses some of her edge when she hears there are more vampires. ]

That is of no consequence to me... not unless I know said vampires.

[zerotohiro]

[Wow rude.] I'll be sixteen next month. [And he's very huffy about that, thank you very much. Stupid Drabwurld. Stupid slow aging.]

There are a bunch of native vampires, too...but two of the vampire shardbearers actually hold positions of power around here. [He's never met the Brucolac or Damon, but he's heard enough about them to know.] Wouldn't the real question be if you want to know them?

[mircalla]

Sure you will darling.

[ She shrugs. ]

Unless they are ones I have already met, then no, not really. Vampires are complicated and oftentimes hazardous creatures and I've had one to many misadventures with them already.

[zerotohiro]

[Don'taskdon'taskdon'task...] Really. What kind of misadventures are we talking here? I mean it's not just vampires that're complicated and hazardous. [It's people, too.]

[mircalla]

[ Hey, vampires are people! Kinda. ]

And what makes you think I would just tell you just like that? It's no fun that way.

[zerotohiro]

[And again, that should be a warning of some sort...but nah. It just makes him all the more curious about her.]

So what would make it fun for you then? [A beat.] Besides drinking my blood because that's not happening.

[mircalla]

[ He's lucky she doesn't kill indiscriminately anymore. ]

Give it time, kid. Everyone gets to talk about their tragic backstory eventually.

Maybe so, but some "tragic backstories"--[Yes, air quotes included.]--are more interesting than others. [Considering their entire court is made of people with terrible, terrible histories, it's not that far from the truth and though it probably sounds like he's interested for his own entertainment, it goes further than that. It's seeking out patterns, putting together pieces and how the newest shardbearers fit in with the last ones, and even the ones that arrived with Hiro himself.

But aside from that, there's a small pause, still a little ruffled by being called "kid."] Hiro.

[mircalla]

Maybe, it depends. They are certainly not the sort of thing you compete over, though.

[ She smiles though, because if anything Hiro can hold a conversation. Also because she's glad to have a distraction other than the wine.

About the wine though...time to pour some more. ]

Carmilla. A pleasure.

[zerotohiro]

[Is this the part where he says "the pleasure's all mine?" Do people actually say that? He's a little caught up in that thought to where there's a bit too long of a pause before he shakes his head, flashing her a mildly sheepish grin.] Likewise.

[There. That's better. He can't help but give a huff of laughter at the earlier comment though.] I wouldn't be so sure of that. Just wait until you really start talking to some of the people in this court. Everything turns into a competition. [He's eyeing the wine though, watching for a moment before wrinkling his nose.] You know we have better wine floating around, right?

[Ignore the fact that he doesn't really like any kind of wine, Carmilla. Just ignore him.]
