I was super excited when I saw Carmilla tbh
( which she means in the best way possible, of course. her own expression lights up at the squeeze to her hand and Laura, with all the subtlety of a bull in a china shop, might just scoot in a little bit closer. personal space? who needs that.
as much as she's worried about having left Silas behind for LaF and Perry to deal with solo, there's also something really nice about not having any sort of impending doom via school board members and/or deadly giant angler fish gods. sure, it's some weird and supposedly magical fairy tale land, but hey. gotta be better than doomed campuses. )

Honestly didn't think I would find a Laura so soon
[ Besides, she can't be her broody-mopey-vampire-girlfriend self with Laura around. Carmilla goes through the motions without even thinking of them, releasing Laura's hand and embracing her as she scoots closer. Better now, much better.
Despite how much she tries to make it look like she couldn't care about the rest of their "team" back at Silas, Carmilla hopes that they don't get into more trouble, mostly because that would mean more trouble for her, and most importantly, for Laura. ]
