He looks for the moving blue line that represents Kelsier's coins - Vin was surprised when she saw that Zane used coins in his mouth, so he wonders, excitedly, if the Survivor doesn't know that trick either. As Kelsier rounds the tower, he Pushes, hard, on the coin pouch, hoping to Push Kelsier with it.

Well, then, change of plans. He lets himself drop with the pouch then he Pushes off it at an angle. He's not about to get into a Pushing match but his strongest suit is Pushing and Pulling in combination. The thought occurs to him to send the coin pouch back with another arc but why should he be predictable when he could do something crazy?
Kelsier lets himself fall, using sources of metal on the building to keep himself straight. He's headed straight to the ground at startling speed. No more than 20 feet from the ground, he flares Steel and Pushes off the hinges and handle of a door. He clears the the courtyard and nearly rams into the opposite wall before he shoots up -- not touching it but building speed with every bit of metal he passes. He shoots past the towers and walls until he's at the limit of his Push and stops. And he waits.
He hangs in the air high above the tallest tower. Daring Zane to attack by not even bothering to react when he sees him. He's not sure if this a Mistborn he knows or, perhaps, even one he's killed. He did encounter, from a distance, a Mistborn that used Steel Pushing heavily. This couldn't be the same Mistborn.

But then Kelsier hangs in the air, and Zane is curious.
Catching himself before he hits the ground, he shoots upward, similarly, eschewing coins for the sources of metal on the tower themselves. He swings around a crenelation, Pushes himself upwards, and at the peak of his flight, the exact point when he starts to slow, he levels and hovers near Kelsier.
It's a maneuver of precision, with Steelpushes, that very few other Mistborn could match. That sort of precise calculation, leaving him so high in the air and so close to Kelsier, is insanely impressive, and Zane knows it.
He stares at Kelsier with confidence.
"Survivor," he says.

Kelsier rubs his chin as he regards him. So, he knows who he is but isn't actively trying to kill him for the moment. He's confident but it's strange... it's the sort of arrogance he would have expected from anyone of Noble blood that knows him as Survivor.
Very strange. Well, he'll play along for now, until he can learn more and decide if this will be a problem. "All right," he says with a smile, "You're obviously skilled and know who I am." He gestures with a scarred hand, the who he is part is the easier of the two. "I'd like to have your name before we decide if we're actually going to kill each other or not," he says lightly.
no subject
"Is that what you want?" he asks. Not the name - that's not what he means. He means whether Kelsier wants to kill him. If so, it would be disappointing. Zane had thought that Kelsier would understand, unlike Vin, what it means to be a Mistborn. To decide not to play their games. Vin has become a pet of Elend's, and Kelsier never belonged to anyone.
no subject
"As for the rest, that depends entirely on you," he says then rotates slightly in the air to look downward. "We're very likely the only two Mistborns on this world. If the reactions of those down below are anything to go by."
Down below, if one burns tin, people are speculating on what sort of magic they're using. Not a word of allomancy. Earth magic is suggested but another points out they haven't thrown rocks at each other. They did throw something at each other though.
"So," he smiles wide, "The real question is, do you want to kill me?" He spreads his arms out. "That's what any good noble would do, regardless of risk. You're in a new uncertain world and if the Survivor of Hathsin is here -- well, you know my reputation."
no subject
Zane likes being watched. Being admired. Being feared. Mistborn should always be like this: out in the open.
"Mistborn shouldn't kill each other," he says, finally, watching Kelsier carefully for his reaction. In an ideal world, this is true, and maybe, here, away from their game, it can be an ideal world. "Not for their games."
no subject
So, he's at least a tool for one of the Great Houses but not quite a noble. An illegitimate son? He makes no secret in his expression, he's trying to figure him out.
"I still don't get your name?"
no subject
That might even be nice. The Survivor, sparring with him, asking him questions.
He can't tell from Kelsier's expression whether he understands or not.
"If I don't tell you, will you want to kill me?"
no subject
"If you don't tell me, I'll just come up with one for you," Kelsier laughs. He tugs slightly on an anchor, making himself sway in the air, an unspoken way of letting him know he plans to move soon. "It just may not be flattering one," he adds with a grin before casually dropping from the sky.
He Pushes on the side of a tower and goes off to the outer edge of Caer Scima. He had planned to cover the perimeter before getting distracted by Zane. No reason he can't return to that and not-so-subtly challenge him to a race around Caer Scima.
no subject
But, when Kelsier starts to move, turning his back partially on Zane, a blue line appears out of nowhere: Zane spits one of the coins into his palm and shoots it at Kelsier, a mischievous attempt to knock him off-balance. He shoves him sideways to the anchors that he thinks Kelsier is likely using.
no subject
Thinking quickly, he Pushes up off his lowest anchor allowing the coin to sail beneath him. He flares Steel and pushes down hard on the coin. The end result of the maneuver sends him into a ballistic spin. In a sense, Zane succeeded in knocking him off balance, Kelsier just turned into something else.
A leap or two later the spinning slows. "Please tell me you were hiding that in your mouth," he calls out with a laugh. He sure hopes he didn't literally pull it from his ass.
no subject
"Zane," is what he says. Only that. Little bit of a smirk on his face. He chooses to step off the stone wall, dropping and pushing outward, moving him in a long curve. Tight grab and pull on a tower swings him around it and out of sight.
If Kelsier follows, he'll get another similar, unexpected attack, because as soon as Zane is out of sight, he shoots upward and perches in a window.
