I know we apped in thinking that Jason and Loki MAY work out, but the weird bond of Hiro has really led to some interesting and unique stuff. Jason is such a miserable pain in the ass, and Loki just ... copes with that in a way that's so exciting and engaging.
one jerk cat meets another jerk cat and has to learn to deal with the jerkiness that said cat once dished out. as much as jason is morlas i still think loki's kind of marked him as one of "his," so that's a thing.
