Personality: Quietly witty, British, a former professor, and also a wizarding werewolf. He's friendly, kind, incredibly lonely, and incredibly smart.
Court: Seelie
Current location: The White Citadel, Caer Glaem, and most recently gained to the list, THE UNIVERSITY!!!
Open Posts: HERE is his August catch-all for the event, but I'm sure he will have open threads for the next event when it happens.
Current or future plans: As stated in THIS OOC POST, Remus will begin to teach Harry Potter magic, both in the Citadel and at the University. YOUR CHARACTER CAN LEARN MAGIC WITH A WAND IF THEY WOULD LIKE -- the post details it far better, and there is also a gdoc breaking down the curriculum. Feel free to ask me any questions you like about that if you are interested!
Catch-up: Remus (luckily) has been up to far less than Faolan in the time that he's been here, although he has done a lot for the Citadel. He helped to build it, helped put the protective charms on it as he did. He helped defend it from the jabberwhelp, he had a classroom set up in it, although perhaps his most impressive feat of late is the fact that he, with the help of Pod, helped get rid of the desert that had mysteriously cropped up around the Citadel itself. The land is now lush and green in the surrounding areas, more of a pasture than a grassland, and thus gaining him the title of "Howl of the Earth", which might raise questions as to where the Howl part comes from, considering his lycanthropy is still largely a secret.

MOST RECENTLY, he has found out that Harry was the one who killed the traders on the way from Treun and had to make the decision to tell someone about that and put someone he loved in danger because of their terrible decisions SO HE IS FEELING VERY GUILTY ABOUT THAT.
Desired CR: Remus is a sad, lonely man, and he needs friends. Also I would love for him to gain some pupils. And people to discuss magical theory with. He would be open to cross-court cr even though that's supposedly not a good thing -- using the magic as an excuse might help? And the Citadel? Anything to do with magic really, and the fact that he is a werewolf, ashamed of what he is. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT.

I'd be interested in Verity threading with Remus sometime! I want to get her into the university and learning things, so maybe they can meet that way.

IF YOU'RE STILL INTERESTED IN THIS I WOULD TOTALLY BE DOWN :') i keep having to push back his beginning forays into the university because of the overall plot of the game -- first i was creating all the curriculum, then i was waiting on the books, and now it looks like they're probably going to be more focused on battle and not dying by giant dwarven machines than they are about books. BUT ONCE EVERYTHING CALMS DOWN REMUS IS TOTALLY THERE!

and i would love to thread him with her, remus being professorly is one of my favorite things to get to do with him -- would she take either of his classes, do you think? :')a

Yes, actually she'd probably be interested in both of them! Her ability to see through lies has kind messed her up in a lot of ways, so she was never able to read much fiction or fantasy. Being able to learn about magical creatures will probably delight her. She might also be interested to see in transfiguration because it seems sciencey. I see her being drawn to more scientific types of magic because she grew up reading stuff like physics for fun instead of fairy tales.

SO YES I'M STILL INTERESTED I'm sure we can work something out, somehow. I'd love for them to thread. :'D

EXCELLENT!!! (so sorry it's taken me so long here, life is insane)

I figure after the battle he can get some of this in. Remus has just been booned a whole library of teaching materials so he'll be able to have those for classes, etc :') I'll try to keep record of who all was interested, but if you want to keep an eye out when the game settles down again (and it makes sense for them to turn back to school instead of fighting lmfao weeps, timing has not worked in my favor in this regard) I'll get that post up eventually!

Snow has a lot of FEELINGS with werewolves though okay. aka her best friend was one back home. She has experience in these matters, Remus.

SHHHHHH IT'S A SECRET except i really want people to start finding out about it at some point (in fact i'm even thinking of having him go into battle as a werewolf, shhh)

but having someone sweet like snow to find out would be amazing ;; we should have this happen. he's got all the (regular) signs, if one knows where to look. and the whole silver burning him to the touch thing is a BIG RED FLAG.

Yeah, Snow would know the usual signs after spending time on the run with Red. And she's a pretty decent tracker that she can tell the difference between that and normal wolf prints too. She'd prob instantly latch to him and try her best to help where possible after finding out because she knows how hard that is.

I could totally add a starter there for Remus if you'd like and that would be easiest to go with. If I start it, any preferences for setting - place, time wise? Probably more likely after the first week of Sept, once Emma would be awake and all, I imagine is when I'm setting things thus far because she wouldn't leave Emma's side through that unless necessary.

Remus is pretty much open as far as time and place are concerned! So you can set it for whenever you like! :) the full moon won't be until the 27th, so we don't have to worry about that at least! if she'll be around the white citadel at all maybe she can see him trying to figure out what to do with the entire library of magical lessons books that he's just been booned?

Ah, actually she is around the Citadel a little, briefly in visiting Hermione so that could work. Did you want me to do a starter and link you or were you wanting to set something up in a separate log? I don't mind either way.

Sorry this is a super late comment, but Henry here would pretty much think Remus was the best because wow magic stuff! So he'd be eager to learn but also he's a really mature kid for his age so he'd probably try to be friends with him, too. If he can help people, he loves that. :')

HI SORRY I AM SO LATE IN GETTING TO THIS WORK IS A NIGHTMARE BUT YES!!! magic with henry and remus would be amazing! :') remus loves being able to nerd about magic to young people who love magic and are enthusiastic about it and not yet jaded by terrible experiences etc.

ALSO what are your thoughts on any facetwin confusion shenanigans with faolan here? since he looks like a certain someone that henry may or may not know... >>

I'm probably going to have catch-alls up for both of them at some point this month, is there a particular time that Henry is more free for running into them than other times? Faolan usually has more going on than Remus, but I think most of what he's up to (that's been planned) is happening now/has already happened in early September? :|a

Henry's pretty free for the later part of the month, mostly. Emma/his mom was sleeping the whole first week of September for a canon update so now that she's awake, he'll be more available for tagging into things! So I'm super flexible!
