TEST DRIVE MEME

TEST DRIVE MEME

Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here!

OPTIONAL SCENARIOS

01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD.
The grand feast is held in the Eaglais clearing. The food is good, the music is sweet, and the evening is lit by gentle fairy lights. All Shardbearers of all courts are summoned here under a universal truce for the evening. Nature itself has shaped itself into tables, chairs, and long couches so that the new guests can rest. When they’re ready to call it a night, Shardbearers are brought to their court strongholds in a one-way trip by fairies and imps.

02. NETWORK
Take advantage of your Locket! The network can be accessed by any Shardbearer with a locket or shardless characters with enchanted devices, and is a quick way to meet new people and discuss the state of the world.

03. WILDCARD.
Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld! There are lots of places to go, and plenty of trouble to get into in them!

I too am uncertain of many things. But we press on.

[And she knows he will sympathize with that much, for that was his race's way. His own way. She peers at him for a moment or so longer before shrinking down to humanoid form, in the hopes she will be seen as less of a threat. Less of a thing to be blamed for the state of affairs.

Yet she does not cow to him, either. She strides forward with confidence and tips her head up, meets his gaze evenly. Alexstrasza saw the beauty in all creation but saw no reason to quarrel with him. His treatment of the flowers does not go unnoticed, either, and she bends down to pick one.]

And I am certain you will find purpose again. Follow where your sword guides you, Varian Wrynn.

[Boldly, she offers him the flower.]

In this world, or any other, a great destiny awaits you.

[Alexstrasza admitting that she too was uncertain is enough to have even Varian raising his eyebrows. Whilst he's of the opinion that dragons are assholes (see: Deathwing) and conniving to boot (see: Onyxia), hearing one admitting to not knowing something is definitely enough to have Varian stopping in his tracks. If this one doesn't know then at least Varian won't feel too bad about being annoyed enough to not listen properly.

Dragons having human forms is not a surprise. It's all too easy to remember how a certain black flight dragon had looked as she pretended to be a Stormwind official. Even now the name Onyxia is apt to get someone instantly on Varian's shitlist. At least he recognises that Alexstrasza isn't being threatening and he's quietly thankful for that one. He might be strong but even Varian knows a dragon of that size could probably flatten him with barely an afterthought.]

I'd rather mine be safe and able to live without fear. Chasing a greater destiny.... [Varian shakes his head and huffs audibly. Maybe as Lo'gosh he would have taken that challenge. Nowadays he needs to focus on the more important things, the Scourge had taken it's toll and now with Deathwing scorching the lands.... Destiny could wait. For what it's worth the flower is silently accepted, Varian making sure to keep his fingers from curling and crushing it. Perhaps one day he'd take it home and let his son see it.]

What are your thoughts on this place?

[As she had been from the beginning, as she was with all creatures, Alexstrasza looks upon him with kindness. For she knew of the Black Dragonflight's treachery firsthand, how they had distorted his fair kingdom, and so understands his hesitation. His prejudices. She could never hate him for it. It was simply not in her blood.

Pleased that he has taken the flower, Alexstrasza settles herself upon a tall stump nearby and beckons a fawn to her. She strokes it gently as she speaks to him, the quiet nurturer in contrast to the warrior tamed. Tamed for the moment, at least.]

I sense power. Power beyond even my own, power that touches each and every world in existence, including our Azeroth.

[Part of the reason why she wasn't halfway to panicking herself. They will find a way, of that much she is certain.]

But beyond that, my vision grows dull. The land does not speak as it once did to me. It is... strange.

[And unsettling.]
