TEST DRIVE MEME

TEST DRIVE MEME

Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here!

OPTIONAL SCENARIOS

01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD.
The grand feast is held in the Eaglais clearing. The food is good, the music is sweet, and the evening is lit by gentle fairy lights. All Shardbearers of all courts are summoned here under a universal truce for the evening. Nature itself has shaped itself into tables, chairs, and long couches so that the new guests can rest. When they’re ready to call it a night, Shardbearers are brought to their court strongholds in a one-way trip by fairies and imps.

02. NETWORK
Take advantage of your Locket! The network can be accessed by any Shardbearer with a locket or shardless characters with enchanted devices, and is a quick way to meet new people and discuss the state of the world.

03. WILDCARD.
Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld! There are lots of places to go, and plenty of trouble to get into in them!

[The only thing different about Merida's hair is the two braids that sit at the height of her ears on either side, tucked into her hair so that they flow naturally with the red curls. Two things her mother had done before she left DunBroch for the last time during the fall through the worlds.

Korra is, was, and always will be someone Merida considered herself close to. After all the arguing and the fright that came with Mako losing his titles and powers, it just made them closer. She lets out a small huff at the question, tilting her head in a way that shifts the choker around her neck.]

Adjustin'. It's...different to th' Drabwurld we know. It's not just Glaschu an' Dorchadas anymore. There's a whole world out there.

[Including Leathann, which sailed in the sky, but she left that part out for now.]

You missed a few battles. An' travelin' through th' heart of th' Uaine Cridhe, fallin' through th' worlds...it's been a crazy three months.

[ her brows furrow as she watches merida, processing her words but not really grasping on to them. "falling through the worlds"? is that — possible? well, must have been, if merida's saying so, it just sounds so fantastically beyond the realm of believability.

as such, korra shakes her head and holds up her hands to slow down merida's explanations, confusion clearly writ on the avatar's face. ]

Okay, okay, I think I need you to start from the beginning. The battles I get, but what's this about the worlds?

[It's true, it's a lot to take in. Merida still hasn't fully processed everything herself, and she stops herself from saying anything more when Korra raises her hands. Right, she might still be getting her memories back. Better to take things one at a time.

She sighs before she uses her own hands to elaborate, waving one.]

When we got to th' heart, we were supposed to wish, to change our fate. Th' wish must have confused it, because it sent us through th' worlds. Everyone's. I saw mine a thousand years into the future, saw DunBroch an' my family. [She pauses, then decides to mention later about giving up her crown.] Then we landed, well, here.

[Merida spreads her arms.]

Somehow we ended up in th' Drabwurld's past. There's no Void, at least no sign of it yet.

[ that... makes what that old man (the one with the tea) said make a lot more sense. it does and it doesn't. time travel?? in a world imbued with this much magic, time travel seemed as though it could be possible, yet seeing it with her own eyes still...

ouch, her head hurt. so much she had to remember, so much she had to separate from home and from here. ]

And no war, [ she murmurs, reaching a hand up to rub at her chest, right above her shard. ] That's what that guy said, this is before the war, right?
notyetlegend: ([206])

[personal profile] notyetlegend 2015-11-17 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
[She watches Korra touch the area where her shard is and almost mimics the movement before her hand stills, remembering that hers is back with the gem. Merida's fingers curl instead and she reaches to place hers over Korra's, frowning.]

That's right, but...what guy?

[She'd heard whispers through the festivities, but she'd never asked, simply because she hadn't known the person talking about it or she was content to just gathering intel.]

[ that action of merida's — it concerns korra. of course she'd noticed the choker around merida's neck though any scar went unseen, but it had taken her a moment to remember whether it was something merida had worn before, or if it was new. the hesitation of merida's hand before resting on korra's chest makes her worried, sets her stomach clenching. ]

... The guy with the tea, the one with all the books.

[personal profile] notyetlegend 2015-11-17 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
[She'd never worn anything that covered her neck before, preferring open collared dresses and shirts even during winter. Merida can't help but feel a little subconscious of her own movements now, her hand dropping to her side to rest at her hip where a sword sits, tilting her head.]

It might be because I fell through th' worlds to get here, but I've never seen anyone like that.

[Guy with the tea and all the books would once upon a time have described Lord El-Melloi, but Merida doubts that's who Korra means.]

[personal profile] universed 2015-11-17 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
[ something about that doesn't sit right with korra, but for the moment — she can't press. for the moment, korra will have to let it go, and just ask around for more information. ]

It felt like I was in a dream when I saw him, it was right before I got here.

[ "here" being the feast. ]
notyetlegend: ([101])

[personal profile] notyetlegend 2015-11-17 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
[She shakes her head, frowning and biting her bottom lip. There's not much she can offer Korra help for here, since she's only been here the few weeks before the feast, and even then she hasn't heard of anyone seeing anybody to that description.]

I can't help you there, but I can keep an ear out to hear if anyone experienced similar.

[ she nods once ]

Thanks.

[ and then takes a seat, pulling merida down with her. ]

So! Tell me about your world! What was it like in the future?
notyetlegend: ([151])

[personal profile] notyetlegend 2015-11-17 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
[She sits when gestured, dressed in pants instead of a skirt since the nights were getting colder, so she had no need to tuck any underneath her. It felt good, having a friend again, and she smiles.]

Amazin'. There's so many buildings, an' these metal things called, ah, cars? Hiro explained it to me once but I've forgotten a bit. They're like...transportation? Like horses but not alive. [It's difficult for her to explain, even having seen them.] An' people walkin' around carryin' these things called 'phones'.
universed: (Default)

[personal profile] universed 2015-11-17 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
[ metal things used for... oh! ]

Satomobiles! [ a grin breaks out across korra's face and she shifts her seat to cross her legs. ] That's what we call them where I come from. [ she bites her lower lip for a split second — ] We've got phones too, but I don't think anyone's going to be carrying them around.

[ after all, they were huge... and you had to wind them up for them to work. ]

[personal profile] notyetlegend 2015-11-17 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Sato...oh! Asami makes them?

[Speaking of Asami, she'll be happy to see Korra just as much as Merida is, but she takes the time her friend is here as hers for now. She'll mention her if her well being comes up, but for now she tilts her head.]

These were small an' fit in th' palm of your hand...I've seen one before here, when th' Station was still around.

[personal profile] universed 2015-11-17 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
Her dad did; he invented them.

[ and then he invited giant mechatanks and used them to fight against benders in the name of "equality". he almost killed asami. it wasn't pretty.

also, hold up: ]

The Station's gone?
