Seven courts? They're not really like different countries, but they aren't unified either. It's better than the two warring monarchies we had before, though still not exactly ideal.

The latter. I mean, the coins and marks all exchange at the same rate across the Drabwurld, but you're more likely to take out a loan from a wealthy merchant or be given a gift of gold from a monarch or god than have either kind of interaction with an actual bank.
