TEST DRIVE MEME

TEST DRIVE MEME

Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here!

OPTIONAL SCENARIOS

01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD.
The grand feast is held in the Eaglais clearing. The food is good, the music is sweet, and the evening is lit by gentle fairy lights. All Shardbearers of all courts are summoned here under a universal truce for the evening. Nature itself has shaped itself into tables, chairs, and long couches so that the new guests can rest. When they’re ready to call it a night, Shardbearers are brought to their court strongholds in a one-way trip by fairies and imps.

02. NETWORK
Take advantage of your Locket! The network can be accessed by any Shardbearer with a locket or shardless characters with enchanted devices, and is a quick way to meet new people and discuss the state of the world.

03. WILDCARD.
Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld! There are lots of places to go, and plenty of trouble to get into in them!

[It's the voice that catches her attention more than anything.

Merida feels her throat constrict as she hears it, then turns her head to look, eyes wide and looking like a deer caught in headlights. Her chest clenches, and for a moment tears prick her eyes before she realizes he's looking at her like it's the first time he's seen her.

This isn't the Lancer she knows.

And that hurts, possibly more than his leaving did, and she manages to smile, shaking it off. It's unfair, but the Drabwurld is an unfair place.]

It's fine. I wasn't watching where I was goin'.

[And there goes her heart breaking all over again.]

sdfskldfj i embrace the messiness

[ well, then. stepping on some toes or jostling someone a bit too roughly surely didn't lead to that kind of look, did it? ]

You sure about that? [ it was lancer's natural instinct to worry over a woman in distress. it was probably one of his greater weaknesses. whether or not she was aware of that, lancer couldn't know. for all he knew, she had simply confused him for someone else.

because clearly, there was someone else walking around looking similar to him. ]

good cause it's gonna suck

I'm sure.

[There's definitive proof in his reaction, and she wilts a little on the inside, tucking a war braid behind her ear as her cheeks tinge pink. This wasn't fair, but she took it to the chin, straightening herself and placing a hand on her hip near a sword.

Gods she didn't know whether to punch him or what.

For the moment, she settles for small talk, even as she feels the lump in her throat grow.]

Settlin' in well then I see?

Even if the trip here was a bit troublesome, being welcomed by a feast like this isn't something to get angry about.

[ he was content despite that. compared to his existence prior to this, being summoned here was a refreshing- and somewhat familiar -change. there were still questions that he had but they could wait for another day. assuming he was here for that long, anyway. learning that he had been here before led him to believe that could change at any time. ]

Though I suppose plenty of folks think otherwise. [ they didn't have the mindset of someone like lancer. that and he suspected most of them were ordinary humans. ]

Now... [ though she had insisted she was fine, lancer suspected this encounter would go downhill from here. ] Do you mind introducing yourself, little miss?

Just be glad you weren't dragged here by imps an' stuffed in a sack.

[She's heard some murmurs about this new method of arrival, but she's not quite sure what to think. Having been here two years now, she's hardly surprised that whoever - the gem, a person, who knows? - seems to have a better method than what the imps or faeries used to do.

He's right though. Merida's seen her fair share of people who struggle to find footing, and she almost feels like she's cheating since her homeworld is almost the same. She tilts her head at his question, feeling her chest hurt, before she responds, holding her head high.]

Merida. I'm from Alba, originally, but...I guess this world is my home now. I've been here two years an' recently lost my shard.

[No princess title that she would have once said proudly. No, she'd relinquished her hold on the throne when she'd been given the chance.]
