[ korra's best friend might be a nearly-thousand pound polar beardog (at home, she realizes with a pang), but that doesn't mean she's exactly ready for a sudden onslaught of affection. especially from a creature with as dense of muscle as this wolf. letting out a surprised yelp, korra's knocked to the ground but quickly realizes this wolf means her no harm (really, it was the "not biting her jugular" that gave it away). ]

Oof! [ she pushes herself up onto her elbows, laughing a little and pushing against the wolf's chest to try and give herself a little air to breathe. ] Okay, okay! [ laughing in between her words, korra finally gives up and flops onto the ground. ] It's good to see you too!

[ she... thinks... look three years does a lot to dull the finer details of her life here, and at the moment korra can't remember if she knew someone who could turn into a wolf. ]

[ Different but familiar, with her scent and her hair, but she remembers being here. John wriggles happily, all puppy-joy and wagging tail; there's a big, wet tongue licking at her face before he bounces back. Really, he should probably turn back into a person -- but he's freer with his affection like this, with his joy, and instead the big wolf flops down next to her and nuzzles against her shoulder.

[ let's be honest: when john turns back into a person, korra's going to have a reaction that won't be illustratable by an icon.

until then, she rolls over onto her side and continues to rub at the giant wolf, fluffing the fur and massaging the cheeks, pushing them up to make a silly face and then letting them drop.

she will pet him as long as he stays there, making cooing noises and funny faces all the while because loving puppy she will always take time out of her day for dogs. ]

The silly faces are- a little ridiculous, and John whines a bit, but he also wags his tail and barks out wolf-laughs. He's sure it's funny, and he's in a good enough mood to allow it, shifting to lick her face whenever he gets a chance.

There's a definite shift in interest when she says hungry -- he's always hungry, and his ears perk as he shifts to sit up a little more. Food, where is food? ]
