[ he was curious about that. it was one of the few questions circling through his mind. that could wait, though. letting his mind wander with gilgamesh fouling up the atmosphere would be foolish.
and if gilgamesh spat on him, he'd have more than a disgruntled lancer on his hands. ]
I don't much care, anyway, without someone claiming me as their Master from the start. I don't think it concerns you, either, Gilgamesh.

[Their argument's beginning to draw a bit of attention now. Forks have stilled, conversations have paused, and eager eyes look upon them, in anticipation of some fight—or worse. And by all accounts, Gilgamesh seems just as eager himself to give it to them.
His aura expands in an overtly aggressive way, as only Servants can sense. No weapons appear yet, but they're just a quick summons away.]
We're going to finish what we started. Right here, right now.
[The air feels tense... will this be a repeat of the Holy War?]

I don't intend to fight with so many people in the way.
[ lancer would fight him, there was no doubt of it. but if he could help it, he wasn't going to bring bystanders into whatever battle gilgamesh wanted. ]
And as for what we started, you might want to explain. I don't recall fighting you. [ no, his most recent memories were more along the lines of stabbing kotomine in the heart. not that he wouldn't have been fine with being in the middle of a fight with gilgamesh. he never liked the guy, someone who was hailed as a hero playing the role of a villain.
but that was then and this was now. ]

[...well, that was unexpected. An ah falls over the gathering crowd.]
You refused me at Samhain on inappropriate grounds, but I will show you that the grandest of Kings may do as he pleases, however he pleases! That is the way of the great Gilgamesh! That is a way of a true Hero!
[Gilgamesh looks entirely serious. The top of his armor melts away and he assumes an aggressive pose. If Lancer won't strike first, he will.]
Go on, then! Unless you'll turn tail again like the useless, slobbering mutt you appear at heart!
[It's indeed a dog's life for you, Lancer, facing a Gilgamesh more relentless than ever before. Time to get your manly chokeholding on.]
