[ he's not so certain he's comfortable with the idea of being taken away from his school, from his home - not when there were rather more important pressing matters to be addressed the very next day. nonetheless, he's told he doesn't have to worry about such things here, he's pushed into the night by the fairies that surround him, and it's all quite magical. for a man who's dealt with science the entirety of his life, he's rather open to the idea of the magical world surrounding him. his telepathy doesn't quite work on the creatures here - some sort of built-in immunity he imagines, as it comes back in a roar once he's seated in front of the fantastic feast.
the people around him are chattering, and he doesn't think twice about trying to listen in, trying to find out just a bit more information as he soaks in this world around him. the idea of fighting for good makes him feel a bit like he's in a dream, a bit like he's been transported back to one of the story books he read when he was younger. the concerns he's sure are supposed to be flitting away, but he still finds himself drawn to someone much like himself (he hopes), tapping the poor unsuspecting soul on the shoulder and smiling. ]
Hello, Charles Xavier. It's a pleasure to meet you - don't suppose I've seen you here before? [ maybe, just maybe he'll get lucky, perhaps he's laid eyes on someone who's here for the festivities that knows absolutely all about this land - someone who's brain he might be able to pick a little easier than the fairies that left him here. after all, how is he supposed to know that what they've told him is the truth? ]

he doesn't try to explain how marvelous this is to passersby anymore, at least he's grown that much into it, that much used to this particular lifestyle here. for now, he's content to sip his coffee, to scroll through things absently. ]
