Hey, pal. You're waking up. Good. I'm Ravio. I saw you passed out- [From a magic spell? Bad cooking? Getting drugged? Having gotten wasted the night before and you ended up snoring in a ditch missing your pants? Something else? You provide this part of the context.] And took the liberty of dragging you to this empty room. Figured it was a good place for you to sleep it off.

Hey, you! Run! Hurry!

[Behind him is the ominous sound of something or another busy pissed off at someone or another. Either way Ravio's not sticking around to be a hero.]

[Nudge.] Pass the salt. [It's really hard to eat with a bunny hood, by the way. The ears try to get into everything.]

[ Running is all fine and dandy, but that's really not how a hero is supposed to behave. Thus why rather than running along with him, this Princess caught his arm as he passed by to stop him in his track. ]

There may be someone in danger. You should go and investigate that noise.

[ Better stick out and be a hero. The alternative might not be much safer judging by her tone. ]

[It's not. If Ravio was up on Earth pop culture he'd be able to point at this and say this? This is like the Bene Gesserit thing and if he gnaws his arm off and tries to escape this trap he will die. Alternatively, this is the Kobayashi Maru and as he has no way to cheat the system he will lose. Or...

Well, as he doesn't know what Earth is, let alone 20th-21st century Earth pop culture, all Ravio knows is that he's screwed. On multiple levels. Still.]

[ Goddesses. So much second hand embarrassment. At this point, Yuga may have had a better change at getting away with it, granted the present was made of golden triangles. Sorry Ravio, but both this world and Lorule need heroes. One cannot simply fight his fate. ]

Nonsense. I have faith in you, Ravio. [Not really, which was why she would stay right behind him, ready to either teleport him away or bind the fiends with her barriers. She would admittedly feel absolutely devastated bad if he were to die.] Be brave.

[ Normal princesses don't go and ask their heroes to be heroic. Nor do they plan on having to rescue said heroes. She hopes he's aware of that. ]

[Turning towards the sound. And that high pitched noise that suddenly erupted is just someone nearby blowing a dog whistle, that's all. (The nice thing about customer service smiles is that you can hide so many feelings beneath them.) And...

Right, if he's going to be a hero that requires walking. Left foot. Right foot. Left foot. Right foot. And...left foot. And right foot. Deep breath, again. Very slowly peering.

And that is totally a demon bear. Which doesn't normally exist but it's a test run post and thus the bestiary is ours to play with. And he is going to nope out of there except it seems to be attracted to something he can't quite see.

You're not-... [Said very quietly except he knows: she is, or, rather, will.]

[ Was he being brave and heroic? Was he trying? It was rare for her to smile, but he was ready to be heroic for her, that counted for something right? At least it did for the couple seconds her smile lasted until Ravio deemed the threat too big to be faced.

She wasn't sure if she was disappointed at how quickly he had given up, or surprised at how long he had peered. Probably a mix of both, but particularly the former. ]

I... [ Anger rising, but she chose to. Quietly facepalm. And take a deep breath. Getting angry at him would serve no purpose at this point. ]

... No it is fine. [She didn't sound angry, though disappointed if anything. She then turned back in the castle's direction.] I'll go back to the castle.

[Wait, that was probably a very stupid thing he just nearly did, what with the near noise and all, but out shoots his arm, grabbing her arm, and equally panicked he sort of looks back at the bear to make sure that Smokey isn't deciding to stomp over and investigate if they've got any forest fires. Smokey seems to be preoccupied with the...thing that it's investigating. But congrats. He's more scared of disappointing Hilda than he is of dealing with a bear-like thing.]

Wait. [Hisses in a much quieter tone of voice.] I'll...see what he's...it's...she's...it's got. Please wait here, princess. Please.

[He's officially going to tell himself it's in case of the...thingy needing medical attention of some kind. Yes. Not to help him if Pooh decides to hit him up for honey. Nope. Exactly. Right.

And unless he is stopped Ravio is going to channel his inner Garrett and get sneaking right now and he will die but he'll die for a good cause, right? Right?]
