heeelllo! :3 yes hi
There's a certain start of surprise when he feels someone on him and his hand has to instinctively go for his wand (although it hadn't been too far from it all evening, really). He only manages to stop briefly and assess the situation-- that was definitely a familiar bush of hair in an unfamiliar setting. He swallowed roughly, even more unsure of what exactly had transpired, a hand going to pat her on the back. ]
H-Hermione---?

It's me. Oh, god, Ron, I can't believe you're here!

Much less would he have allowed Hermione or Harry in the same position. Or at least... not if they didn't desperately ask for it, which he doubted any of them wanted in this moment. And from the way Hermione moved she wasn't particularly looking for it either.
It's a relief though. He doesn't know about Harry, but when her voice hits his ears it all falls into place. This really was Hermione. Or maybe it was? He didn't want to disbelieve and think it was an imposter not right now-- But that was a worry, a worry he shoved aside for the moment to fully grip her in kind for a moment.
Why were they even here? He gave a snort at laughter when her words were his thoughts spoken. ]
You can't believe I'm here?

[ ... But, then, of course, she realises that things might be a little more confusing for Ron. She's been here months, after all, making a life for herself and settling down and if he's just arrived... Well, seeing her here isn't going to be at all comforting, not if he was one of the people that had been 'kidnapped' instead of asked to come and help. That alongside being brought to fight another war when they were both just finished up with one...
Well, she could understand his loss and confusion.
She smiles, though, as best as she can, squeezing his shoulders and nodding her head, all earnest and intelligent, just as she would've been at home. ]
Welcome to Caer Glaem, Ron. This is, um, the Seelie Court - there's two, Seelie and Unseelie? And Harry's on the other side, but we meet up a few times a week, there's no need to worry...
[ She laughs, though. ]
Hi.

The names weren't things he was familiar with, but there was something in there that did make him worry. Something that was easily picked out.
]
'The other side.' [ It's repeated carefully, pointedly. ] As in the other side of this supposed war, is it?
[ So how's it he's supposed to not worry if that's the case, really? It makes an uncomfortable feeling settle in his stomach and he shifts through those thoughts. ]
Isn't the 'hi' supposed to go before the news? Bit backwards there, you are. [ But at least he tries for some semblance of a joke... ]

That's right. But, obviously, we're not fighting each other. That would be ridiculous. I apparate over to the other court once a week for tea with Harry and he seems to be doing alright. He's not in any trouble and he says he's making friends, so I don't think we have anything to worry about for a little while.
[ But, still. Honestly, Ron. She rolls her eyes and shakes his head, offering him a smile. ]
I got carried away.

But. Well. If Hermione didn't think it was a worry he could try to stuff that away too, but that one was no easy feat. He didn't want another war, really. He wasn't even over their last one. He especially didn't want a war where they were opposing Harry Potter.
He tried to take Hermione's lack of worry as good news, really, but he couldn't. Shaking his head, the smile was strained with worry as he fought off the rest. ]
Yeah, I noticed. Not like it's unusual for you, y'know...

Grabbing his arm, she moves and tugs him back over to the table of food, urging him to take a seat and settle down, to find a place and actually try and eat something. She knows Ron better than anyone and she knows that he'll be starving even if he only ate half an hour ago - and she's a little peckish herself, admittedly, she could do with a nice piece of pie or something to drink. ]
I promise, there's nothing to worry about. We won't have to fight Harry, no matter what happens. It's a little strange, really, because a lot of the people I've spoken to from over there are rather nice. It makes me wonder why they were put there and not here.

Frowning at her slightly, he mumbled something incoherent at the food table. A surprise to all is that he really wasn't interested in eating right then. Well, okay, he could eat. If he wanted. There was never a question of he was hungry. But he didn't particularly fancy eating this lot's food right this moment. Not even if Hermione seemed content to. ]
You can't know that for certain. If they really wanted us to fight the could. We know that. [ It was said carefully, frown deepening. ] 'Sides, why's it we're here and he's there? Doesn't make much sense really.
[ Another brief pause passed by. He knew she was trying to assure him and press on elsewhere, but assurance didn't really do much right now. He didn't particularly like change, let alone change where there there were completely out of their territory. Waffling a moment, he frowns. ]
Anyway... S'not like we're not used to it, suppose.
