[ iorveth's face is hardly a friendly one to most beings, the fierce leader of scoia'tael to most who hear his name. an elf most proficient at his craft and feared for it.

it is of little surprise a scowl sits on his face, though not directiong at geralt. the man has proven himself worthy of less ire than others, for what little that is worth. ]

You involved yourself vatt'ghern. [ in iorveth's case, at least. it was convenient for him to accept the aid, especially after letho's betrayal. ] Perhaps these ones will pay you.

[ He could, perhaps, argue with that. That he did only what he had to do - that Iorveth was the only clear link to Letho, that he had to clear his name or be hunted and hounded forever until some bounty hunter or other got lucky and ended him. That he had to save Triss, when she was taken.

Fate is a funny thing, though. And sometimes, it's hard to know the distinctions. ]

I'd rather they paid me for ridding them of a drowner infestation. I don't suppose they have those here.

There are plenty of dh'oinne about, but no drowners. [ at least one of them is happy? sort of? not really, iorveth hasn't shot anyone yet at the greatest of urging of the imps. something he only begrudgingly agreed to after much effort. ]

Plenty of nonhumans, too. This seems to be a kingdom of nonhumans. [ Looks like Iorveth, at least, definitely has something to be happy about. Geralt doesn't really care either way - he's always been a pariah to everyone. ]

[ BUT THERE ARE SO MANY STINKY HUMANS GERALT, LOOK AT THEM ALL! LOOK AT THEM. for all the nonhumans that litter the hall, one would think iorveth would perhaps a little less sour. but even the presence of nonhuman monarchy has not washed the sour taste from his mouth. ]

It barely makes this tolerable.

You mean this isn't the nonhuman paradise you've always dreamed of? Especially given that all the humans have been brought to serve.

[ Picky picky, bro. ]

[ the pickest elf to ever live.

his single eye rolls, a scoff passing through sneering lips. ]
We have been dragged here like dogs, treated no better than the dh'oinne they fill their halls with. [ geeze iorveth, lighten up a bit will ya? ] I told you once before Geralt, I will not be used again.

That, I can sympathize with.

[ Being a pawn in other people's games is tiresome, that's for sure. ]
