[Can he truly argue that? He has, of course, seen the terrible nature of humanity in both worlds, but he has also seen the very best. Funny what war can bring out in people.

Sometimes it is hard for people to see beyond themselves. It is part of being human, and unfortunately there are times when circumstance can overshadow the good in people.

[He elaborates, because he feels as if the Terminator is asking something more, something someone who isn't human might ask.]

Humans are capable of great tragedy, but they are also capable of great good. The capacity for both is what makes us so great and terrible at once. It is what makes every person worthwhile, why every person deserves a chance. Something, I think, that also extends to those who aren't human.

Perhaps you have only been privy to negative experiences, which I am sorry for. I hope that selfishness isn't all that humanity can offer you.
