[ her cheeks darken with that laugh, though it's only because there's no chance of slipping away from the group unnoticed now, and oh, don't mind them, keep listening to the nice man's story, yes. turn around. good. she nods, taking his hand because it was very polite of him, offering to help her off the chair. she's not about to let her own awkwardness get in the way of a king gesture. as much as she doesn't like thinking about it ( because it's really embarrassing ) she really is new to the whole- making friends thing, so of course she notices how cold his hand is, but it's more of a passing thing, a curiosity. she won't ask why that is just yet, even if she's wondering. her body temperature doesn't run cold, but she doesn't flinch away from it. if anything it's comforting, in a really strange way.

she's not going to give it any thought, not more than the idea that maybe this is how most people feel when they meet someone with a common curse. no! not curse. a common gift.

quickly enough, just after they've left the crowded room, Elsa's breaking her short silence, not wanting to wait until they get outside.

I'm not sure what you meant by mess, but I assure you I won't be a part of it. Have you ever had to help mop up an entire ballroom before? [ she's... trying to be clever. but it's probably coming off as just corny. oh well. ] No, I learned a long time ago not to leave puddles behind. Or- enough snow to leave a large pond's worth of water if left to melt on its own.
