Yes, it does seem impossible even with what they have shown us. Magic belongs in story books or in tv shows, not paraded about in front of us.

[some worlds called the rider transformation a kind of magic. human bodies gifted with a spark that shifted with the right combination of need-power amplifier-trigger. as a creator of two world-bending drivers, he knew that there was more to it than just that. maybe magic was only another form of that something that gave riders their true forms.]

It was my pleasure. You design is far more advance than what I've seen in some places and I must admit I do have some curiosity as to how you were made. I also shall offer my services again whenever you need repairing.

Thanks again. I can answer any questions you have regarding my make and model.

[He's always believed the worst in most human beings. They're selfish, stupid creatures at best and prone to their own destruction at worst. But this one has shown him a great deal of kindness. He wishes he'd asked John how human beings show appreciation for one another beyond the physical sensation of hugging, which he feels is not appropriate.]

What is your name?
forgottendecade: (that's bs)

[personal profile] forgottendecade 2014-03-17 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
Joji. Do you have a name?

[a pure machine? a type of hybrid? maybe something more? he wasn't sure what he was and joji found it interesting, just like it was relaxing to do something that he was good at. he always was good with mechanics, and that was probably why dai-shocker brought him into their organization. that he also could twist reality to match their theories was probably only a bonus in their eyes until he outlived such usefulness.]

Where were you made? I haven't seen technology like yours in any worlds I have traveled through.

I don't. [He pauses and thinks over his automatic response.] A boy I knew called me Bob.

I am-- I was a Terminator. Model 101. [Normally, he'd debate telling too much about the future to someone he didn't know. It could cause all sorts of bad effects. But from what he had seen, Skynet could never gain a foothold in this world. There just wasn't enough technology for them to use, even including the Station he had been hearing about.] I was made in a factory by Skynet. It's the sentient supercomputer from the future I came from.

[no real name just a make and model number. it sounded a lot like the troopers for shocker, each one maybe had been a real person before their modification but the machine demanded total loyalty, something that he never questioned in himself until the drivers disappeared and he was blamed.]

Bob is a good name. I believe it is short for Robert and there are many loyal kings and knights who bore that name.

[a future world and a computer that became its ruler. joji filed the information as for something to think about later, nodding at the explanation. an advance machine could craft such a thing; just look at the neo lifeform and it's idea of playing with the lives of others.]

Do you believe in the theory of multiple worlds?
unclebob: (Default)

[personal profile] unclebob 2014-03-18 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
[He's from a world where the future is a malleable thing. Each change can possibly produce an alternate. The theory of multiple futures is only one step away from the theory of multiple worlds. His systems can accept the idea without freezing up or glitching.]

Yes. The world I am from has clear differences from this one.
forgottendecade: (that's bs)

[personal profile] forgottendecade 2014-03-20 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Good. There are more worlds than this one; I've traveled through them over the course of several years. This one is by far the strangest of those worlds, but more in the lack of technology than in anything else.

[the magic might be just another form of the power he had seen in some riders. not v3, no. that one was machine blended with a man. different than this strange killing machine.]

You were created for war... what changed?
unclebob: (One chip left)

[personal profile] unclebob 2014-03-20 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
I was reprogrammed by a man named John Connor. He sent me to the past to become his protector when he was a child.

[His eyes crinkle up into an expression of wistfulness. He'll probably never see his young friend again, but their short time together has left an indelible mark upon the machine and the way he thinks.]

I learned a lot from him. He showed me what humanity had to offer.
forgottendecade: (from the past)

[personal profile] forgottendecade 2014-03-22 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Traveling through time was possible in your world?

[the calculations to do so were near impossible for a human mind... but no, he said he was made by a computer. a computer would be able to find the right key if that was what it wished to do.

dai-shocker went through worlds to control and destroy. it was good that they never was able to change time as well.]

Humanity is a surprising race. I take it that you're more aware of matters than others like you?

[personal profile] unclebob 2014-03-22 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. It was rarely used, for fear of changing the past.

[Fears that, in the end, had proven to be correct. He nods again at the second question.]

Terminators' CPUs can learn from the people around them, but they are set to read-only when we are sent into the field. Mine was reset.

[Even now, his systems are taking in the data he's receiving from this conversation. It pours over it, adding to his memory banks, and compiling it to reach conclusions he had been unaware of before.]
