[ There is a cat, watching. ]

[ He is a large tabby, and he might seem ordinary if you don't look very hard - or if you don't know sidhe very well. He is cait sidhe - a king of cats, in fact, and there is enough of Faerie about him that it can be seen by anyone who's interested to look. ]

[ The way he slips in and out of shadows. The way he seems far too confident for even a cat. The way in which he observes what should probably be none of his business. ]

[ And, on occasion, maybe you see the cat when you look twice to get a better look at the lithe, striking man in a black leather jacket - you wanted to check him out, but there's only the tabby, and the faint scent of pennyroyal and musk. ]
