We've been indoctrinated into war. It's rather a bit of both, don't you think?
[ then he turns to Jolly and rolls his wrist, holding the apple out to him palm up. the bright blue of his eyes shine. ]
You can't really trust a fairy to keep it's word. Or so I've heard.

[ His teeth leave an imperfect circle torn away from the apple's side, and he hasn't even swallowed by the time he offers it back. ]

[ thought he quirk of his mouth doesn't leave, Jas watches his face shrewdly as his companion chews and swallows, never looking away even as he takes the apple back from his hand. when no immediate ill befalls his friend, only then does he take a bite for the apple himself. he then leans his elbow on the table. ]

[ He knows Jas is watching him. But the thought that his friend would be waiting- wanting to see what (if anything) will happen before he too takes a bite- simply doesn't occur to him.
