His tone still comes a touch dry when he replies, only ever really inclined to mask his disdain in subtleties and good manners rather than remove it outright.]

[Old-fashioned, though it might be hypocritical for him to make out that he didn't appreciate that a little, considering his own name - though the touch of vanity and pretension in it if self-chosen doesn't escape him. Still, he offers in return,]

[ he says this a with a lofty touch, and while it sounds as though this isn't the first time he's explained this, it also doesn't sound as though he's tired of doing so. the corner of his mouth up, more a smirk than a true smile ]
