[He whips around, relief spelt clearly all over his countenance. After taking a very brief moment to see she's in one piece, he practically runs the rest of the distance between them to lift her up into a hug.]

Su! Su, you're all right!

[It's almost like a visible burden has been lifted from his shoulders when he hears about their younger siblings, though confusion is clear when he doesn't see them around.]

Where are they?

[He has no doubt in Susan's words, but there's something to be said about seeing them with his own eyes.]

They're close by, don't worry. But Peter... something's a bit odd. When I saw Lucy, she looked taller. Like she grew up since we left Narnia.

Do you think the fairies gave her a growth spurt to spite Ed?

[Joking aside, he certainly can't stop worrying, not with the way they all likely arrived (kidnapped by little imps and fairies of all things!), and the fact that they came separately. It doesn't seem right.]

That is a bit queer, isn't it? Is her height the only thing that has changed? Nothing's the matter otherwise?

[There's a pause as he mulls over whether he wants to give voice to his thoughts. The last time he doubted...]

Su...Do you think we have been sent here by Aslan?

I haven't noticed anything alarmingly changed about them. Edmund and I have agreed that we need to find our way out quickly. The food here doesn't feel safe... Of course, nothing about this place feels safe. It's even less welcoming than when we returned to Narnia.

[it's surprising that he would ask that question, since Susan initially worried about the same thing. But the longer she's here, the more she realizes the truth]

Aslan would never do this to us. He was sending us back to England. This... whatever this is, it's a different kind of magic.

[Everyone seems to be all right, though he'll have to see Lucy for himself.]

I really don't know. I haven't touched anything, either. I do know that they kidnapped us and brought us here, so I wouldn't count them as friends.

[He sighs, but really, what else can be said of their circumstances so far?

They spoke of a war. If we can help we ought to, but the pieces don't seem to add up. How much truth do you think there is in what we have been told?

I don't know. Then again, it was difficult to believe everything we were told the first time we entered Narnia, too. All we can do is press forward and see what happens.
