[ luke stumbles back. his hand comes to instantly cradle his jaw. he looks at clarisse and, well, the look he gives her isn't one of no recognition. he should've expected it — and some part of him had, he'd even welcomed it — that she wouldn't take kindly to him being in her space. but luke doesn't always make the right decisions — and then, sometimes, he does. maybe he chose to approach her in a provoking way just to get the hit. ]

Stellar company. [ he rubs his jaw. he doesn't close the gap, nor does he raise his own hand against her. he's not looking for a fight. if anything, he's just tired. ] I don't need to ask what that was for.

[ luke side-steps, moving his arm to catch her fist in his palm — but whether or not he catches it, well, either way, he's going to end up with a broken something, and it might as well be his hand. they'd been burned before, a reminder of what he had done back in new york, but now that his skin was as smooth as it had been the days before he chose to go all kronos, he wants a reminder of what he's done. they can't just wipe his slate clean, no matter how much he really wants it. ] Woah, Simba.
