No, I am very sure he did not incinerate me. [He knows this because Smaug left him alive to watch him burn down Laketown. He swallows thickly.

Bilbo frowns, peering down at the map again.] I would think we'd see more Elves here if that were the case...

[But he sighs, almost defeated by how perplexing this all was and folds the map away to tuck into his coat pocket.] Grumbling over a map won't do us much good, unfortunately. Have you eaten yet?

[Kili nods thoughtfully. In either case, he's still not convinced this isn't a dream and/or death.

Though he imagined the Halls of Mandos to be a bit different. Less...flowery.

He hesitates a moment before answering.] Aye. [A pause.] But I could fit more, if you haven't eaten.

[Bilbo likes to be optimistic.]

[He pats his pocket once more to reassure himself, fingers brushing over the space where the Arkenstone lay under fabric.] No, no I'm quite fine now. Nerves have curbed my appetite. [He pauses.]

Well... with that settled you can help me find the library. I'm sure there must be one here and from there surely we can find some answers.

Of all the places, you want to go to a library?

[Kili huffs at him and folds his arms over his chest.]

Well, explore, of course!

We'll be exploring anyways while we look for the library so in the end I win. [He huffs, trying not to smile.] Besides, if we're going to be here for as long as they imply I think we'll have enough time to find the library and explore to your heart's content.

[Kili sighs and drapes an arm across Bilbo's shoulder, leaning a bit against him.]

Do we have to go to the library?

[He accepts this silly show of physical affection with another huff and a frown and starts walking.]

Yes we have to go. The library will have maps, much more in detail than this one and information about this strange world. With proper information we can prepare ourselves.
