It's one thing to have a sense of feeling of being out of place; quite another to be uncertain of whether you should feel out of place or not.

Kitsune are of course trickster spirits, and Kira is struggling with what is both a sense of familiarity as well as the complete alien nature of everything around her. At least she doesn't appear too weird here. No, an Asian girl in a short skirt, fishnet stockings, and has a katana strapped to her back is hardly the strangest thing here at all.

Of course, she doesn't realize that those who are sensitive to it, those with supernatural sight, can see the bright golden aura in the shape of a fox around her, revealing her nature to anyone who can perceive it.

She's not alone, at least; Allison's there as well, bow and arrows on her back, ring daggers at her side. It's an absolute relief when she sees Kira, and she beelines over, raising her hand in a tentative wave as she approaches.

"Kira! Hey!"

Kira turns at the sound of her name. When she sees Allison, her mouth drops open and she stares in disbelief.

And then she's closing the distance, and Allison is enfolded in well, as much of a bear hug as someone as short as Kira (who admittedly is taller than Lydia) can manage. Yes, she barely knows you Allison, but in this moment that doesn't matter to her, because the last time she saw you, you had bled out in Scott's arms.

"Oh my god, Allison!"

Allison lets out an 'oof', but she's grinning, hugging Kira back, careful of the sword on her back.

"Hi," she says again, this time with an undercurrent of laughter. Kira's here. She's real.

This is a second chance, right?

"You..." Kira trails off, not certain what to say.

She settles for "You...are are the bravest person I have ever met."

She lets her arms drop and looks around. "I don't know where we are, but it's pretty amazing. I'm not entirely sure why we're here yet either, but you're here too, so...it's gonna be pretty good." Reckless kitsune optimism.

Allison doesn't know how to respond to that. She doesn't think she's brave, not at all; she did what had to be done, what she needed to do, and that was protect her best friend. That was all. And, truth be told, she feels kind of like she failed at that. So brave? Hardly.

So she moves on when Kira does, glancing around at their surroundings with her. "Pretty good, or pretty bad. There aren't many, but the bestiary has a couple stories on faeries, none of them that nice."

"So what's the story with them?" asks Kira. Her instinct is to want to explore, and...noticing a delicious looking tart on a platter at a nearby table, she ooh's and goes to pick it up. Curious fox is curious, and like most tricksters, perhaps a little to quick to satisfy her hunger.

Allison shakes her head. "Like I said, nothing much. They're really into keeping promises and not being beheld to people. Don't say thank you, for instance. And they like to use loopholes. So be really careful what you say."

Scott's been a little lost since arriving, and a lot confused. Fairies, shards, fighting. It's all a little over his head. He has a hard enough time keeping track of everything back in Beacon Hills, let alone some whole other mystical realm of magic.

So he's just been kind of wandering around, half lost in through trying to wrap his head around everything when he nearly bowls into Kira. He reaches out to steady her, a hand on her shoulder when he sees who it is.

"Holy crap, Kira? You're here too!?"

She almost reacts, well, combatively, a lost girl in a strange environment both mystical and magical. But she recognizes Scott before she even starts to turn, an her face lights up.

"Scott! Oh my god, I have no idea how we even got here, but isn't it amazing?"

She's becoming more and more of a kitsune every day. There's no panic, only wonderment. Surely they'll figure out a way to get home, but in the interim, well. This is pretty magical.

She unthinkingly reaches out to hug him.

He's all too happy to wrap her into a hug. It's comforting to him at any rate, because he's not so sure he shares her enthusiasm. It's one of the things he likes about her though.

"It's... something. You're okay?"

"I'm totally fine." she hastens to assure him. "Are you okay, though? I mean, I know this is totally weird. We'll figure it out." She is certain in her confidence that they will. "But in the meantime you can't say this isn't something out of a fairy tale. Have you tried any of the food? People seem to be eating it and not turning into anything strange."

Admittedly, a little part of her whispers how cool would that be...

"That's.... good." It was a relief that he could eat the food without turning into anything strange. Admittedly something he hadn't been worried about until she said it. Now he was, but looking around, she was right. No one was turning into anything strange. There were some pretty strange things about though.

"You're right, though. We'll get this figured out. At least we're here together."

He reaches out to take her hand. It's experimental. They're still experimental.

Kira beams at him, curling her fingers around his.

"It'll be okay." she tells him, perhaps a little excitedly. "I mean, kitsune are kind of like fairies, right? Trickster spirits and all that. Maybe they know more about it. But we're here, and there are all kinds of strange people...I should be afraid, right? I don't know why I'm not."
