[He is almost certain that he's hallucinating. The thing is, Peter has been poisoned ( ead:has poisoned) with wolfs bane enough times now that it causes strong hallucinations. A castle ruined by fae is somewhat elaborate, but not entirely improbable. In the Noa woods, Peter counts the people who could possibly want to poison him.

The list is, unfortunately, entirely too long. The woods, although quiet and almost mournful, are quiet enough to give him space to think. Running had not helped him anyway - breaking his own fingers had done nothing to wash the poison out of his system any faster.

It occurs to him, hours later, approaching Caer Scima, that he might not be hallucinating at all. His locket hangs around his neck. Likening it to a noose seems dramatic, but it's a heavy weight he's conscious of. After a moment of deliberation, he opens it with a resigned downturn of his mouth and a cautious furrow of his brows. ]

Now, let's see how this thing works.

[He can turn this to advantage. Somehow. ]

[ seeing a familiar face should to be comforting in theory, unless that person happens to be peter hale. and this fact extends to even his own family, how sad. leaning on the walls of the elegant hallway, lydia stands with her own locket hanging from her neck. she hasn't been there very long herself, but when she scans her surrounding and catches a glimpse of peter, she doesn't know if it's worth it to approach him.

hmmmmmm. probably not. but if he can smell a bitch plz look (yes i did it), he's bound to notice her eventually. ]

[If truth be told, it's not worth it. But Peter recognizes her perfume. He's perfectly attuned to the particular kind of animosity Lydia gives off when she's reminded of Peter's continued existence. It's like Christmas has come early. How lucky can he be, that of all the people he'd be stuck with he'd bypass Derek and go straight to Lydia instead?

Peter has always been fantastic at Monopoly, he thinks he shouldn't be surprised.

He's careful to move into a position where he can catch her eye and then very much the picture of friendly, lifts a hand and waves. ]

[ "show me anybody i might actually know" is what stiles had basically told the locket when he started to figure out its functions. the damn thing was like a cellphone, Disney World style, and as far as stiles was concerned, he was really starting to miss his actual phone. with no sign of any of his friends (or family, something important in his gut reminds him), he's getting frustrated, because the first thing you do in a kidnapping situation is try to get a hold of someone. anyone. police. (his dad.)

since the latter two aren't here, stiles got irritated and asked for this and.

...and now he's staring at peter hale. ]

Oh hell no.

[ the eyeroll here is more of a head-and-neck-and-eyeroll because peter. ] Seriously?!

:3 hi!

[He is not about to tell anyone that he hasn't actually figured this locket thing out yet. When Stiles' face is there, however, the way his face drops into his password is also Allison levels of unamused almost immediately. This is karmic retribution, probably, for trying to extort information from Lydia.

And all the murders too.

He didn't count on having to play is this Stiles or the fox possessing him, here. ]

You shouldn't look so disappointed. I'll have you know I'm fantastic company.

[He glances at the locket; turns it around to inspect the back for a way to hang up. He finds nothing and turns it back around. ]

Is my nephew with you?

You're wasting your time with that.

[ is derek's helpful contribution. as far as derek's concerned, less time spent fiddling with elaborate pieces of jewelry and more time spent looking for a way out. a way home. for all derek's attempts, he's still not much for considering the long game. ]

We need to get back.

An astute observation.

[He glances up for a brief moment, gives Derek his best shut up and let me think look before he rolls his eyes and holds the locket out. ]

Has it occurred to you that anyone we know might use it to try and contact you?

[He thinks not.]

Besides, you don't get back from fae. Not without a price.
