[ the name comes tumbling out of Arthur's lips and it's foolish but he cannot call it back once it does. it's an instinct, something he cannot hope to control. because she's there, perhaps a dozen steps away and he wants to blame her for all of this. it would be easy; morgana is a sorceress and not a weak one either. and in the last years she had brought nothing but fire and axes and destruction to his borders so why can't she arrange him to be sent away?
it'll be easy to blame morgana except that she looks as suspicious as arthur feels, just as out of place. but they cannot both be here. whatever strong enough to rend morgana's magic useless, perhaps arthur should be wary of it too.
( and he is, he is; but that doesn't mean she's harmless, she's anything but )
his hand goes to the hilt of his sword but lingers there. she has magic, he knows; and she doesn't fight fair, he knows that, too. ]
it would seem you are upon foreign lands, my Lady.
[ or are they foreign? can Arthur even trust anything she says?
(no, no he can't.) ]

morgana turns with her chin raised high, determined at the least not to appear as beaten as she currently is.
he will blame her for this, she knows it before he even speaks the words, and for once she will be not the cause. for once it will not be her doing. for once she is utterly innocent. how ironic. ]
As are you, dear brother.

[ 'dear brother', she says and it sounds as if she's mocking him with the truth of their bond. he'd call her dear sister for true, he would give her what was denied of her until now as justice would have it and morgana -
morgana would stand there, straight and tall and would sneer these words at them as if they are an insult, a mockery of all the things that she had stolen from the both of them and arthur is more angry with her for doing that than for most other things. ]
Do not use this against me, Morgana, you have done so too many times in the past.

I would sooner drown in my own blood.

[ it's sharp and it's angry because she doesn't care and her indifference is maddening. ]
You are my sister. I would never say it as if it were an insult.
