[It's boredom that leads Wednesday to take to the outdoors, and a lack of a cemetery right by living quarters means her usual playground is sorely missed. Without an escort, she wakes up before sunrise one morning and takes to heading toward the north area of Leana. The area's been mentioned to her before a few times, something supposedly interesting for a girl her age. Despite insisting that she's not like any other girl her age, she had to admit that seeing anything was better than sitting around and doing nothing. So off she went, and it took until late afternoon to arrive at her destination.

And upon reaching it, she stands in the field of flowers, standing out entirely in her head to do dark ensemble. The sight of the colorful field of flowers pulls a scowl out of her initially, but quickly turns into the girl shaking with anger and balling her hands into fists. She stands there for hours, glaring out at the flowers, wishing her mother was there to take her by the hand and lead her somewhere else. But her mother isn't here, and she has a long journey back to her quarters, and instead of running off toward them she calmly goes to pick a handful of flowers.

Making sure to pick darker blossoms, she clutches them in both hands and finds a decent clearing to lay down upon. Keeping her body as rigid as possible, she mimics a corpse for as long as she can stand it, flowers tucked calmly in hand. If anyone happens to stumble across her that day, she makes sure to speak clearly and loudly, practicing her dramatic performance skills.

To die, to sleep--
To sleep--perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.

[And on and on she monologues until...]

Soft you now,
The fair Ophelia! -- Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remembered.

[And with that, she cracks an eye open, peering over to see if her audience that was there two minutes ago is still lurking about and waiting to applaud her valiant dramatic efforts.]

[Whoever came across her, they spooked and have gone. Now it's Janine, a fourteen-year old in the body of a telepathic pterosaur, who stands over her. Her 'voice' is dry. Underneath it, her body makes quiet pterosaur noises, croaking and cawing.]

[ halfway through, shijima sits down on the grass and rolls onto her stomach, then her back, batting occasionally at dust in the air. by the time the girl gets to soft you know, shijima is lying still on stomach again, propping her head up on her hands and peering intently at her. she blinks a few times, waiting for more. ]

[She had gone out to think when she saw the other girl standing in the field. After all, they were both sore thumbs. Wednesday all in black, and she nearly the same. So when she saw the girl suddenly collapse, she had gone over to her. And then, there was the reciting of Shakespeare. She listened, letting her continue.

When she heard the last part, having watched in silence all this time, she responded, quite calmly, purple eyes never leaving the other girl's pale, yet dark visage.

Good my lord,
How does your honor for this many a day?
