Faora-Ul | Man of Steel
Faora hardly expected a welcome of any kind in a place such as this. No, she had, truly, no idea what was her fate beyond the fate of Krypton and her vengeance for those lost.
But these Unseelie are claiming that she has a shard within her, that she is something special and necessary. A war? Faora had knowledge of war. Yet she has no knowledge of this place, this world. Kryptonians are explorers and colonizers, and somehow this place slipped past them?
It was not unlikely, the universe is forever, seemingly.
Faora is armored but has no use for her breathing apparatus, surprisingly. She keeps to herself, but she watches. The first is to learn your surroundings.]

You as well?
[the comment is quiet, something that could be ignored without offense if the woman was the unfriendly sort. Mistral's beginning to think that any questions she has won't be answered regardless of who she puts them to.]

She looks out onto the banquet again.]
We are all in this unknown world, in this same situation. Useless, for now, and without a direction until we are given orders.
no subject
I assume you mean orders that make sense.
[faeries? courts? gemstones? please. none of those can possibly be real or make an ounce of sense -- she'd know if there was a shard of anything in her chest that she did not consent to have put there.]
no subject
[But Faora does not follow blindly.]

[there was incentive, yes, to fight and to win--and while there was a choice, was there really one for a soldier? she could not speak for the woman, but to her, abandoning that would be akin to losing her legs. the idea of a choice, however, is one she can appreciate.]

[She was exiled and chose to fight for the future of Krypton as it should be. But, perhaps, there was no true alternative here.]
Allowing others to answer your questions shows your weakness.

[she likes this person more and more.]
