GIMLIIIIIIIIII
Gimli! I had hoped to find a friend in this place.
[ Which is where, exactly? No matter, Meriadoc will consider that, later. ]
MERRY YES GOOD
Master Merry! Well, I did not expect to see a Hobbit here!
IDK IF I'LL BRING HIM OR NOT BUT I COULDN't RESIST A GIMLI
[ He laughs as well, and tugs lightly on Gimli's shoulder. It's lunchtime, and that means time for more food. ]
There was quite the feast last night, but I think we might find some more food about here.
[ Also he wants to have food before he starts having the Very Difficult Discussion of When Exactly did you come from. Yeah. That was a fun discussion with the Lady Galadriel last night. ]
you should totally bring him every game needs a Hobbit or two
Ah yes of course. The feast was several hours ago. You must be starving, young Hobbit.
it wouldn't be for a while, though, because rl hates me rn
Indeed I am, Master Gimli! The kitchens are this way! [ Totally the first thing he checked, negl. All the better to snatch food from for morale picnics and such. ]
And how are you, interesting travels to this... place.... notwithstanding?
/kicks RL
its just so busyyyyyy
I was on my way home back to Buckland, after seeing Frodo and Bilbo off to the Grey Havens, where they would sail with the other 'ring bearers'. At the end.
[ He's a little quiet, not entirely sure what more he should say about it. ]
And you, Master Gimli?
all the more reason to kick it
hahahah thanks, then
[ YES! More people from the Fourth Age, and the end and all the happy things that come after. Good. Good. Merry has just gotten a whole lot brighter, that particular concern suddenly gone. Someone who knows. ]
Then I was due you a visit anyways, and now would be as fine a time as any!

I don't think it should take very long to find some new patch of flowers to head home with, if we must.

Gimli clears his throat, a little uncomfortable]
They do not seem to like me. I crush their flowers too easily, I believe.
no subject
Th-then I shall have to show you how to step lighter, Master Dwarf.
[ Have a beaming grin. ]
I am sure they might forgive you if you apologize nicely.
no subject
I will not apologize for something I could not help! But if you can teach a Dwarf to walk like a Hobbit, I will ever be in your debt.

[ Hobbits are near-silent, when they wish to be. Easily disappeared, with soft feet and softer noises. Dwarves are... much louder, bigger. ]
But we can at least keep you from crushing the flowers!
no subject
Bah, boots are practical. Your Hobbit feet are quiet, true, but I cannot imagine walking across mountains and snow without boots.
[It's fun to talk with the Hobbits. They're much more cheerful than the others, and even Gimli needs a laugh every so often.]

Snow is not so bad until it starts to get lost in the fuzzy warm hair on top, and mountains can be a bit pointy, but they aren't all that much worse than stomping over prickly twigs or tree-roots. Both can be a little much. I'd not like to try crossing Caradhras again. [ Merry shudders. No, that he will have to pass. Nothing pleasant, there. ]
